Chapter 64 - The Cabin

A full hour later, Vain had reached an area where no Smilers could be seen and no Hounds were howling in his direction. Vain checked the surroundings several times making sure that the area wasn't dangerous and didn't have an entity hiding behind some tree. Vain soon took the time to sit against a tree to sleep.

Vain also could not help but feel uncomfortable in the complete silence of the forest. The Smilers didn't make a sound and there were no birds or animals that would make a forest seem alive. Still Vain went to sleep doing his best to ignore the uncomfortable silence.

This time Vain was able to sleep for a full two hours before feeling something was off. Quickly reacting to his instincts, Vain jumped up to his feet and make a quick spin to check his surroundings. A glowing smile could be seen watching him and making its' way in his direction.

Vain once again made another run knowing he needed another area where it was empty to get some more rest.
