Eventually Athena and Vain ran out of time and Kraken waved his tentacle making Vain disappear from the foggy library.
Vain soon found himself in the foggy forest exactly as described. The foggy forest had an eerie feeling as well as a soothing feeling. These feelings combined allowed the forest to seem like there was something wrong here, but at the same time the warm feeling made one think 'why should I worry in such a good place'. Looking up at the sky Vain saw a starless sky with a bright full moon, making it look similar to the sky in level 9.
Vain, already knowing the dangers didn't even pull out his sword since it would only be useful against the members of the 'Church' and the main enemy here would be Smilers who couldn't be hurt by anything Vain had besides the Firesalt Crystals. Vain didn't have many Crystals, so although he took a couple Crystals out, he had no plan to even use them unless he was absolutely sure he was trapped.
