Chapter 143 - Exodia 143: Who are you?

{Kei Sasaki's POV:}

I am Kei Sasaki, 16, and I'm now a student in class 1-A at Altheria Academy. Surprisingly, I'm attending the Streia Course.

I'm surprised I was recommended the Streia Course but I still got in.

I'm decent in combat but I wouldn't say I'm good. Especially since my Singularity is the ability to read emotions.

The first thing we had after our assembly was homeroom.

In homeroom, there was an incident between a student and the homeroom teacher. Our homeroom teacher is Maria Frister who looks like a young girl.

Everyone in the class was taken in by her appearance and began judging her.

Not me though. I would've judged her the same if it wasn't for my brother.

He told me about all of his teachers.

He explicitly told me that I shouldn't judge Maria Frister for her appearance otherwise I'd be harassed excessively. I'm glad I listened to his advice.

I had History before the break and after lunch, I had Ancient Runes. Now, I have an AST class, where we'll find out who our teammates are for future missions.

(First-years have to wait until after June to start missions.)

"Okay, now that you're all changed. For the first AST lesson, you can do whatever you like."

That's a little too much freedom.

I stood next to Arisu, a friend I made a little while ago in middle school. She had mid-length blue hair and light zenith blue eyes. She didn't wear glasses anymore.

Apparently, she said they were just for 'disguise.'

Ultimately, she looks extremely pretty without the glasses hiding her face.

"But, you must stick to the groups that you are given."

The girl clicked a button on the remote and a large holographic screen appeared. It was above our heads.

"These teams will be who you'll be with when you are doing missions. Please group up."

Ms Frister said.

I searched for my name, hoping that I would be grouped with Arisu.

"Ah, I found my name."

Arisu said.

"Really, who are you with?!"

"I'm with... Mashiro Yuki, Alicia Kou Sabre Reishville, and Kei Sasaki."

"Yay, we're together!"

I cheered.

At least it won't feel awkward as long as I have Arisu on the team.

I have no idea who Mashiro Yuki but Reishville is the surname of Anastasia, isn't it?

---

It took a little while to find each other but we United and sat down in a circle.

It was really quiet.

You could hear a pin drop, it was that quiet.

So, I decided to act.

What would Shoya-nii do?

Then, I received an answer.

"Uh, so, how about we introduce ourselves and reveal something useful? Uhm, like magic or something?"

I think that's what Shoya-nii would do but with less uncertainty.

"Good idea!"

The white-haired girl shouted with a large smile on her face.

"I'll start. I'm Mashiro Yuki and I have a strong familiar."

She grinned.

I couldn't help but wanted to call her by another name. Kuro.

Her hair was snow-white and so was her skin. Her eyes were crystal-blue and her figure was smaller than mine and slightly childish.

Her face reminded me of Kuro.

"A strong familiar? What is it?"

"My familiar isn't an 'it,' but a 'she.' Her name is Chrysus and she's a golden knight. She could probably take down a King-ranked Mana Beast if she tried."

Woah, cool. That's a super overpowered familiar. I can't believe a familiar would be that powerful off of a single contract.

"Uh, I'll go next."

Arisu said.

"I'm Arisu Aoi and--"

"Why don't we stop this farce?"

The other girl said.

We all looked over at her. She sat crossed legs, like the rest of us, with her hand on her cheek and her eyes closed.

She then peered at us with her blue eyes.

"I'm not here to be friends and study."

"Then why are you here?"

I asked her.

The girl sat up straight.

Her hair was purple, just like her sister's, and it was long. Her eyes were blue, just like everyone else on the team's, they were ocean blue.

"That's none of your business."

"It is, dumbass. I'm trying to get us close together but it doesn't seem like you want to be in on this."

"Yeah, I don't."

I clicked my tongue, vexed.

"I came to get an important person out of this school, so I have no time for--"

"Who? Your sister?"

I asked her.

The girl's eyes widened as she heard what I said. She almost had the intent to kill me but it was obvious she was holding back.

"Who are you? A spy?"

"No, I'm nothing of the sort. I'm one of your sister's friends, Kei Sasaki."

"I see... White hair with dark blue tips and icy-blue eyes. You're that boy's sister, aren't you?"

Seems like she knows about me. Not that I'm worried.

"Shouldn't you be introducing yourself since I already did an introduction?"

I teased the purple-haired girl with a smile.

She spat.

"I'm Alicia Kou Sabre Reishville. The younger half-sister of Anastasia Kou Sabre Reishville."

"Okay, Alicia,"

I called her by her first name since I already know Anastasia. Calling her Reishville is slightly unnatural too.

"Why don't you be friends for now and try and persuade your sister or do whatever, later?"

I asked her.

"Sasaki... Sasaki!"

The white-haired girl shouted.

Mashiro got close to my face with an excited expression on her face.

"You're Shoya Sasaki's sister, aren't you?!"

"Huh, oh, yeah!"

I replied out of instinct.

She scared me.

How does she know who I am though?

"How do you know my brother?"

I'm not surprised if she's like those people who knew about him because of the Emperor incident.

"Well, he's the one who told me that I should attend this school, of course."

"Eh?"

"Uh, guys, what about my introduction?"
