"S-Shoya?"
Someone called out to me.
Kei, Kuro, Tatsuya, Akane, and Anastasia were in front of me. They all had wide eyes as they looked at me.
"You just appeared out of thin air."
Kuro said.
"Uhhh..."
As I tried to find a way to explain what happened to me, I peered over at Tatsuya. My phone was in his hand. I snatched it and looked at the time.
Only three minutes had gone by. Time in the dungeon is slower than in the real world.
"Hey, what did you do to your hair and contacts?"
"Oh, right."
I put my white contacts back on.
"Ngh, I'm still pissed that you messed up the hairstyle but you look even more like Takami-kun like that."
Kei said with a bitter tone.
"So, what happened to you?"

I explained what happened to me. I decided to leave out Mashiro but I did mention Chrysus, not her name, but I didn't tell them that Chrysus is a Seraph.
They also don't know the name of the dungeon.
"All of that happened to you in a short time..."
Even if they didn't believe me, my tracksuit was slightly tattered so they could tell for themselves. There was also the cut on my hand.
"You say the armor could use Light Magic, right?"
Anastasia asked.
I nodded.
"What was it like?"
"It was unbelievably fast. It cast some sort of arrow barrage and shot them at me. I was surprised that I was able to block some of them."
They all gasped in shock. Though it sounded more like amazement.
We got out of the station and walked onto the streets.
"There was also a time when our swords of shadow and light clashed."
"What happened then?"
It was Anastasia again who asked.
"The two elements devoured each other."
"Devoured?"
Tatsuya repeated.
"There's a theory about that. It's not able to be tested out since most people with Shadow and Light Magic are important and don't have the time to spare."
Akane began talking.
"A Spanish Magi scientist called Izan Fernàndez said that because Shadow and Light Magic are in a category of their own, they are disadvantageous elements but they are also advantageous to each other. So it deals with it by devouring each other. He said that it happens rarely though."
A phenomenon where two elements are advantageous and disadvantageous clash with a chance of eating each other.
Crazy.
"So, are we going trick or treating or what?"
Tatsuya said with a grin, holding out empty plastic bags and a bag of candy.
"Why'd you bring candy?"
I asked.
"That's what I said!"
Kei shouted, all of a sudden.
"We can give it to them as a treat!"
Anastasia said so fondly.
I felt bad. I didn't want to scold her on her first proper night of Halloween.
"But hey, it'd be weird to go to a house with an empty bag begging for candy when we're teenagers."
"True."
Everyone said in sync.
I grabbed a bag and filled a quarter of it with candy.
"So, shall we go?"

An hour passed by and we met back at the same place.
"No houses had candy."
Anastasia said, slightly disappointed.
"I forgot that we don't really do trick or treating here in Japan."
"Isn't that an important fact?"
She asked, exasperated.
"Well, in our neighborhood, it's a different story."
Despite not getting any candy from houses, we still had the candy that Tatsuya brought and some people on the streets gave us candy. Well, at least gave it to Akane and I.
"Oi, you lot have cool costumes!"
A group of people turned to us. They all had fantasy-like costumes.
"Mind if we take a picture together?"
"Sure, let's do it."
We put our bags down and posed with the group. The man got his selfie stick out and got all of us in the shot.
"Yup, cheese!"
He shouted and took the photo.
The guy showed it to us and it came out pretty well. Then, our group compared our Halloween outfits since we had the same amount of people.
Don't worry, we won and it was all thanks to Kei and Anastasia. Kei's cosplay made her look like Yumi since that was the point, but she look practically identical due to Yuki-nee's makeup.
And Anastasia's dress was something that shouldn't be worn for Halloween and I'm guessing that her tiara is real too. I'll tell her next time but it's not like anyone can steal from her.
You know, spending Halloween like this is amazing. Every time, I've spent it with family or with Tatsuya but going out with friends is a nice change of pace.
"What's wrong, Tatsuya?"
Kuro asked.
"Huh, well... Nothing."
I smiled.
