{Anastasia Kou Sabre Reishville's POV:}
World Streia Conference?
Ah, that was happening, wasn't it?
The last time it happened was around when Excalibur disappeared 5--no, 6 years ago, at this point.
The Sin of Excalibur incident. That was one of the names for the incident, wasn't it?
"Janet, could you read my letter aloud and give Akane her letter?"
"Yes."
The green-haired maid bowed and walked over to Akane and handed her the letter.
She returned to her spot and opened the letter in her hand.
"'We, of the Streia Safety Bureau, invite you, Anastasia Kou Sabre Reishville, to the World Streia Conference. This event will be held in Olympus, which is currently over the Tokyo Sky Tree, the sacred dominion of the Emperors, on July the 20th.'"
July 20th, and they invite me?
Though, that isn't much of a concern for me since it's next week. What I'm worried about is the fact that they invited me.
No one knows that I'm living here except for Akane. And I highly doubt that Akane would go and tell her family since they may tell my family.
So, the real question is, how did the SSB know that I was here?
Seeing as it's a world conference and will be held in Olympus, I'll have to dress my best. Not only to not get slandered by other nobles but so that I look the best in front of the Emperors.
"'Since there will be multiple nobles attending this conference of different cultures and languages, we shall provide auto-translating earbuds, though, do be warned, these do replicate a voice in a different language but lip-syncing is a problem that can't be fixed. These earbuds will be provided by Shirogane Enterprises.'"
That'll be a great help.
The only languages I know are English, Japanese and a bit of German.
"'On July the 15th, we shall send the timetable for the conference. Thank you, this event was arranged by Zayner Ness and Gedo Sasaki.'"
Geh, another Sasaki.
"Zayner Ness?!"
Oh, right...
I was wondering why that other name sounded so familiar. It's because a certain someone has been saying that name since he was young.
"Lady Anastasia, we must go, if Zayner Ness arranged it!"
Sebastian shouted at me.
Zayner Ness.
Recognised as the strongest male Magus. The nickname he was given was the King Magus.
This King Magus is also Sebastian's idol. Makes sense that a narcissist looks up to another, right?
Anyway, saying that he's a great Magus would be an understatement.
As for the name Gedo Sasaki, I recognise it since he's the head of the SSB. Though, I feel like I know too many people with that surname.
"Well, Janet, was that all?"
I asked her.
"No. There is a P.S at the bottom."
"Please."
I prompted.
"'P.S, the maximum amount of servants is two. If the limit is surpassed, then the respective guest shall be kicked out of the conference.'"
That's sensible since it'll be a lot of people. Nobles from all over the world will gather and there's always that one noble that has all of their servants behind them.
Janet walked over and gave the letter to me.
"Thank you."
I read the letter over in my head and it was exactly what Janet said.
I'm still wondering how they knew that I was staying here. Ah, well, it's fine, it's not like they can give information, like my location, to anyone, even if it is my family.
"Lady Anastasia."
Calira said.
"Yeah?"
I turned back to face her.
She looked slightly worried. I tilted my head.
"Aren't you worried?"
"About what?"
Am I stupid or...?
"I believe Calira is trying to ask you if you're worried about your family attending the conference. The Reishville family is a renowned family known all over the world. Of course, they would also be invited."
Yumeko finished.
That's when I realised.
She was right. The Reishville family is well-known and it's almost impossible to think that Father, my little sister and older brother didn't get invited.
Worst of all, HE may have been invited too...
If I meet him at the conference, it'll be bad. I'll probably have no choice but to return to England if I do.
Do I just not go?
No, I have to go. I don't care what my father thinks. Anyway, if I face HIM at the conference, I'll somehow have to fight him off. My father wouldn't dare to fight in front of others, but that's not the case with HIM.
His standing is above that of the Reishville family.
"I'm still going."
Everyone seemed surprised by my answer.
"But, miss!"
Janet was going to scream her objections but she stopped midway. The maid bit her lip.
"The World Streia Conference shouldn't be too hard. We'll all be there simply for appearances. It'll be a few days until we get the schedule of the conference. Until then, I guess we go on with our days."
Everyone agreed with me.
For some reason, I feel like this Streia Conference will be bad. I just... have a feeling.
---
[3 days later]
"Wow, these came in real early."
I said to myself as I grabbed two letters from the door mat on the floor.
It's 8:30 am.
I opened the letter addressed to me. It seemed more like an invitation compared to the last one. The card was coloured a dark brown and had a golden outline with the actual writing in the middle.
I read it out loud despite being by myself.
"'Anastasia Kou Sabre Reishville, this shall be the schedule for the 20th of July, the day of the World Streia Conference:
~7:00 am -- 8:00 am = Arrivals
~8:00 am -- 9:30 am = Free time
~9:45 am -- 9:50 am = Opening speech
~9:50 am -- 11:50 am = Welcoming Banquet
~12:00 pm -- 1:00 pm = Free time
~1:05 pm -- 1:45 pm = Emperors' Ceremony
~1:50 pm -- 3:00 pm = Leaving
Important Note: These times may differ due to problems when the conference in happening. These are merely estimated times.'"
I wasn't focusing too much on the schedule, I was focusing on a single part of it.
The Emperors' Ceremony.
I get to meet the Emperors, right?
Man... That's seriously a dream come true.
