Two days passed.
Yeah, two days. Two days. Two FUCKING days!
Yes, two FUCKING BULLSHIT days!
All that happened within these two days was me getting FUCKING beaten silly by this motherfucker of an Emperor!
Ahem, that was too far. But yeah, I'm mentally distraught from being fucked up two days in a row.
Aether's hits aren't getting any harder or softer.
Now, I feel like I want to give up. I won't give up though.
"What happened to your gauntlets?"
"Don't need them."
Wasting mana on Shadow Gauntlets that I won't use is useless. I should focus some of that mana on my defence...
Or... Maybe I don't need that thick of a mana defence. It may seem outrageous but maybe mana has some sort of mass which delays my reaction.
We learnt something like this in Magic Theory.
"Hmm... Let's see..."
A way where I can dodge without him still hitting me. I have that. A counterattack. Anything powerful will work.
My face has been healed god knows how many times by Lilith. I don't want it to be healed again. Healing is a painful process. Well, the only exception seems to be healing via a master-servant contract.
Forcibly closing wounds hurts.
"Okay, I'm coming."
As Aether began running forward, I dove forward toward him. He seemed slightly surprised but still went forward. The boy prepared his fist and as he did, I forged my way forward.
Every hit he did was a left or right hook. Never a jab.
"You..."
Instantly, my Shadow Gauntlet shrouded my right arm and went into Overdrive. I followed through into his chin but...
He didn't budge. Not one bit.
"Nice one. Took everything for me to stay on the ground. Though, I won't count it."
This little son of a...
"I want to see it again. Oh, and, be warned, I may counterattack you as well."
This bitch is so fucking annoying. I'll put him in his place. I don't care if he's an Emperor or if he's lived for centuries. I'll fuck him up, no different.
I'm tired of letting my ass get handed to me. I swear to god, I'm not going to fucking get hit.
I'm sick of this shit.
I got into my stance again.
This time, I know what I'll do.
And so, I charged toward him and he did the same to me. I kept on forging forward and, just as I had hoped, Aether changed to a jab, seeing that I repeated the same move.
I swiftly dodged to the side and did another Shadow Gauntlet Overdrive to his left cheek but...
Aether's head bopped slightly as I hit him. Though, no visible damage or pain.
"Nice."
He said, moving my fist away from him.
Again. Nothing.
"Try again."
Aether said with a teasing smile.
I shot him a glare but he smiled even more.
I swear... I'm going to rub it in his face when I complete this shit ass training.
One last time.
This time, I'm going to beat him. It will be this time.
I know it. I can feel it. I'm going to wipe Aether's smug off of his face.
I'll concentrate this time.
And so, I cleared my mind.
It sounds like an easy task but it definitely is not. The only reason I'm able to do it is because of my apparent frustration and my training with Astoria.
I stared blankly at Aether.
I knew what I was going to do. This would determine my training.
This will end it.
Just like before, Aether dashed forward. Within a few seconds, he reached me.
I showed no signs of moving or dodging. Instead, I was focusing on something else. As Aether's fist soared at me, like a rocket, it simply passed through me.
"What?!"
I remember doing something similar before against Aden-Lada. This may have not worked but, miraculously, it did.
I simply used Nightwalker on the upper half of my body, making it seem like my body is there but isn't, and the person passed through.
Though, maintaining an illusionary physical form is hard and hurts me to the core. Which is why I have to do it when I'm concentrated and ready for immense pain.
Aether passed through me and I swiftly turned around. Now. I need a weapon. Not my Shadow Gauntlets since they do nothing.
Something else. Something better. I need...
"Erebus."
The name suddenly appeared in my mind and my fists were suddenly cloaked with new shadow gauntlets. They were thinner compared to my magic ones and they weren't mechanical. Somehow, they seemed stronger.
I struck Aether in the face and, this time, he stumbled slightly before regaining his balance. When I looked at him, he was free of any scratches.
There wasn't even a single speck of dirt on his face. Not even a bruise.
"That one kind of hurt... But no visible damage so--"
Suddenly, blood flooded from both of his nostrils.
"Huh?"
Aether quickly blocked his nose.
"Why is my... Why is my nose bleeding?"
I took a glance at my gauntlets, which looked more like decorative gloves. Shadows were dancing off of them.
Is this what Aether meant by 'Erebus?'
A weapon.
The gauntlets disappeared and were absorbed into my shadow. That was useful.
Oh right, with Aether's nose bleeding that means that I...
"I finally beat this fucking training session!"
I shouted, relieved, at the top of my lungs. Now I won't have to go through this shitty training again.
Oh, I thank God for helping me pass this shitty ass training session with the worst fucking Emperor I will ever meet!
Let's go!
I also silently cheered on the inside.
"Well,"
Aether said, walking over to me with a tissue over his nose.
"Since you gave me a nosebleed, I guess..."
Aether sighed under his tissue. I shot him a glare but he ignored me.
"You complete the Reaction Speed training session."
He announced indifferently and dully.
"Oh, don't give me that tone!"
I shouted at him.
"What?"
"You put me through some unreasonable shit and you're saying it unenthusiastically! What the fuck?!"
"Hey, not my fault you couldn't dodge for two days."
"It's not my fault that an Emperor came at me with a full-speed punch each time!"
Aether flinched.
"Well, sorry..."
I turned around and walked away in a huff.
I swear... I'm going to get him for this training session one day...
