"They're... blue."
Ai-nee muttered, peering into my eyes.
My head scanned the room for a mirror. I couldn't find one, but I found shards on the floor.
I ran toward them and grabbed one, directing it at my eye.
My eyes... They're blue.
It's not like normal blue eyes; they're glowing blue eyes. Is this why I suddenly felt that rush of power within me?
[They're my eyes.]
The voice of the Black Emperor echoed within my head.
[The fact that your eyes turned blue shows that you're connecting with Black Exodia. Bit by bit, eventually, the power shall be yours truly.]
He said.
I didn't say anything in return.
My eyes started to flicker. They turned back to their original colour, black.
"Ah, my eyes are black again."
I threw the mirror back onto the floor.
"Seriously,"
Ai-nee facepalmed.
"What are you?"
"To be honest, even I don't know the answer to that question."
I shrugged.
I'm not lying when I say that.
I mean, think about it. Exactly a month ago is when my life changed. Before that, I was just a normal school boy.
When my life changed, too many things happened and I didn't know what to do. Even now, I'm still slightly confused.
On top of everything, there's Black Exodia, making me even more confused.
"Well, let's ignore that incident and get back to training, shall we?"
A cold chill swam down my spine.
"Y-you're not saying that..."
A menacing expression appeared on her face as she slammed her fist into her palm. A smile also peered up her face.
"It'll be fine. I mean, your body has toned itself quite well, right? You should be able to take some full-power punches. You caught one before too."
I slowly backed away as she trotted forward.
"That was when my eyes were blue..."
"It's all the same to me."
"SPARE ME!"
--
"Alright, training adjourned. I'm going out for a smoke."
"OK..."
I breathed.
Ai-nee took out her packet of cigarettes and put one in her mouth, then took a glance at me.
"Get a haircut. You let your hair grow out too much. If Yuki saw you like that, she'd have a heart attack."
She said, leaving the building.
As got off of the floor and sat on my butt, I twiddled with my hair.
"It is a little too big and messy."
I wiped my sweaty body with a towel, that I had stored in my bag, and put my shirt on.
My body was still aching from the punches, but they hurt less because of my hell-trained body.
I put my shirt on and folded my blazer into my bag, along with my tie and towel.
"Yuki-nee would have a heart attack seeing my hair this long. I really need to cut it."
I leave the building and walk onto the streets.
Taking out my phone, I pulled up the Altria map. Not that I'm happy about it, but, my phone was modified by the school. I can view things from outside of the school but I can't write certain words like 'Altheria' or 'Altria.'
Oh, lucky me, there's a barber just 3 minutes from here.
It's 6:00 pm now. Since it's a school day, curfew is at 11, but I think I'll go back to the dorms straight after I get a haircut.
Hopefully, it'll be cheap.
I gained some CRD in the arcade; I have 62,329 CRD in total.
Should be more than eno-.
"Ah,"
"Gah,"
I turned the corner, while looking at the map, and banged into someone. They fell to the ground.
Swiftly, I put my phone into my trouser pocket and reached my hand out to the person I ran into.
"Sorry, I wasn't looking at where I was going. I was heading to the barber."
Ah, I kind of said too much. Oh well, it's fine.
The boy rubbed his head and then reached out and grabbed my hand.
"It's alright, I wasn't looking too. I was looking for a barber too."
The boy looked around the same age as me. I couldn't tell from his face but his height. In fact, I couldn't see his face at all.
It was covered by his long, thick black hair. He wore a simple black shirt with an 'X' and white trousers.
He certainly doesn't have good fashion taste.
"Well, if you're going to the barber, why not go with me?"
I suggested. He seemed lost. I mean, he was going in the opposite direction of the barber.
The boy scratched his head.
"Sure, why not? Let's go."
He started walking in the opposite direction of the barber.
"Ummm..."
"The name is Qin."
"Well, Qin, I'm Shoya and the barber is this way. That's the opposite direction."
--
After another hour, Qin and I both finished our haircuts.
The price was 10,000 CRD for both, which was kind of expensive. I had to pay for Qin's haircut since he didn't have CRD.
We exited the shop.
My haircut was a simple spiky cut. It was neater than my previous haircut. I like it.
When the haircut was done and I looked at myself, I felt like a simple anime protagonist.
Qin's haircut was a bigger change.
"Thanks for paying for me, Shoya."
"No problem, you looked like you were stumped, so I helped you."
He was a pretty boy.
Qin didn't cut his hair short like me. He left some of it intact. More than mine, anyways.
He had spiky hair which transformed into a ponytail. Under his left eye, he had a mole.
His eyes were both yellow.
"Qin! Qin!"
I heard people scream out.
Did he get lost or something?
Qin looked behind himself.
"That's my friends."
He said.
"Oh, then you have to go. That's fine. Bye."
He walked toward them.
"Bye, hope we see each other again, Shoya."
Qin stopped.
"If we do see each other again, let's be friends."
"S-sure."
And he went off.
I waved.
What a weird fellow.
