The curriculum our academy provides is actually pretty simple. Classes, practical's and other various activities are split in half.
Half goes for normal everyday languages and subjects like mathematics and the general history of our kingdom.
The second half goes towards improving magical abilities and practical use of it, and the study of magic as well.
Of course anyone could learn how to use magic, it's just that the resources and expenses to be able to even think about it is stupidly outrageous.
However, everyone learns at different rate's compared to each other. Some may grasp how to use it incredibly quickly while others take some more time to be able to gain the same abilities.
Magic, simply put, is the visualisation of inner strength being brought out in a form that could help the wielder. Think of it as an extended part of your body.
All inner strength is given and set at birth, although that's just a starting number gained or inherited by your parents, some are higher than others, while others are even higher than those.
Depends on how compatible both parent's inner strength is put together. Nobody knows for sure, it's a matter of luck to decide whose blessed early on and who is not.
Of course no one really cares about kin who has a head start in their magic abilities, other than the people who are stuck up in their ego that is.
Other than that, there's a really simple way to increase inner strength. And that's to use magic over and over again.
Just like how muscles are used over and over again to build up muscle strength, magic serves a similar opportunity as well, instead it's moulding the capacity to hold much more and much denser inner strength, to be able to cast faster, fiercer and stronger magic.
This also enables you to be able to use much stronger types of magic, depending on what type of magic you use, it would be able to create a higher tiered magic much stronger compared to your previous abilities.
Officially, there are 8 types of magic.
Fire, the ability to turn magic into blazing hot flames that covers the body.
Water, the act of producing waves of water that cling tightly to the body due to its nature.
Wind, magic spread thinly and moves fast enough to sting anyone who touches the wielder.
Earth, stones created by solidifying magic at the molecular level.
Lightening, magic runs on top of each other to create make shift clouds of friction, electrifying all who dare touches.
Dark, the colour of magic dimmed so dark that creates a void like substances, corrupting and poisoning all around.
Light, complete opposite of dark magic, instead inner force is spun around in clumps and balls to produce shinning, fast light magic that heals and protects all those are dear.
And finally…
Physical, to be able to incorporate magic tightly against your body to protect and enhance your physical abilities.
Amongst magic types, physical magic is used by all, in other words it's a "must" to learn. Otherwise your body wouldn't be able to withstand a simple beginner's magic at all.
