The expeditionary elite force led by Agneshia has returned to the Alamove kingdom.
Some people see soldiers riding their horses. Behind the cavalry, people can see several horse carriages containing VIPs and carriages for hunting and expedition stuff. In this expedition group, no prisoners' carriages were seen.
Randolph was in one of the carriages that bring expedition stuff. He felt relieved not to be considered a prisoner. However, he also felt a little disappointed because he could only witness the greatness of the country from the sidelines of the walls of the carriage.
"Wow..."
Randolph's mouth opened wide. He was amazed by the sight of the largest human kingdom on the Lumaville continent right before his eyes.
"Amazing...it's so beautiful"
The city infrastructure in the Alamove kingdom has the concept of a city surrounded by forts. All the forts are tall. The walls that surround the city have a height of approximately 30 meters.
"So this is the largest capital in the human kingdom"
"Ckiit..."
After a while, the carriage runs down the road, and the carriage that brings him stopped. There was the sound of a carriage door open.
"Crack...-"
"This is not the capital of the Alamove kingdom young boy, these big cities called Sedes Sapia. An outer border city that is divided into two parts. On the east is Lowe, the birthplace of the warlord Larde Von Lowe, the city of Knights. While on the west side is this city called Veyta. Known as the city of the Magician and also the birthplace of the deputy warlord Charles Von Veyta. Sedes Sapia is one of four outermost fortress cities," said an old coachman with a beard and white hair explained.
The carriages stopped at one corner of the city, but not a single resident could be seen there.
"Then what's the difference between this city with the capital city?" Randolph continued.
"There are no nobles or elite soldiers here. Only lower-class mercenaries or lower-class soldiers," that old man continued again.
After Randolph got off of the carriage, that old coachman motioned for Randolph to follow him.
"So,-"
"Yes, Mr. Charles, Miss Agneshia, and Miss Sarah don't stop here. They live far away in Alamove Garden, where the elite troops and the senate are sheltered. It's about a three-day road trip from this city"
When he heard those words Randolph stopped walking and turned his head back. He saw there are two trains that had stopped from the dozens of trains that had joined the expedition.
"Then what is that? Isn't that the VIP's horse carriage?"
Hearing these words, that old coachman was shocked. He quickly turned his head in the direction Randolph was looking.
"Ehhh...ahh that"
The old coachman didn't respond well. His eyes almost popped out, and his mouth gaped open. Two familiar girls approached both of them.
"You can go home first sir, and I assume you can keep silent about what you see here a secret."
"Creek-"
A big money bag was given to the old coachman. A nod of the head came from him. Shortly after, he lowered his body and sprinted away from those three people.
"And you Agnes, can you get rid of that killing aura of yours? Why are you feeling this cold in front of h.."
Before she finished saying her opinion, Sarah's mouth was gagged by Agnes' palm.
"Don't talk nonsense!"
Randolph smiled faintly at this behavior.
"This katana-wielder girl is really cute," he said to himself.
"Clip-clop.."
A warhorse approached those three people. A young man with dark brown hair and wearing plate armor got off the horse. He saluted Agneshia and Sarah.
"Miss Sarah, Miss Agneshia, His Majesty summons the two of you to come to the palace immediately. You can hand this man to your loyal servant"
Agneshia and Sarah looked a little disappointed, but it didn't last long. Suddenly both their facial expressions turned serious. A murderous aura re-emerged from Agneshia.
Agneshia's serious gaze turned to the man, "Alright Valcon, I leave this man to you. take good care of him well"
That young man just bowed his head and saluted the two girls, the girls got on the horse carriage and walked away.
Randolph looked at the man. Valcon Huybert looks dashing. The armor plate tinted gray, a large shield behind his back was of the same color and a sword with a dark brown sheath hung from his left waist.
Valcon Huybert is one of the nobles in the Alamove kingdom. He even became a reference for other noble youths because at the age of 21 years old he was given the trust to be one of the two confidants of Charles Von Veyta.
The ability, courage, physique, and skill that he possesses have earned him the respect of not only men but also the target of women native to the Alamove.
Randolph's gaze made him tilt his head.
"Is there something strange about me...?," asked Valcon's to Randolph.
"Nah, forget it. Where do we go next, sir?," Randolph's asked back.
Randolph's question made Valcon's smile come out. He then held out his hands. Valcon's hand grabbed Randolph's hand.
"Ahh...pardon my impudence, introduce myself as Valcon Huybert. One of Charles Von Veyta's right-hand men. Please forgive me in advance because all foreigners are required to go through interrogation, and you...you will be interrogated personally!!"
His friendly face changed drastically.
"Sealing Handcuffs Artifact"
An artifact resembling a handcuff had locked onto one of Randolph's hands. Randolph felt weak like something was sucking his strength.
His reaction was also very slow. A skill came from Valcon's.
"Shield Bash..."
A shield slap hit Randolph. He was thrown one meter back from where he was standing.
Randolph was still awake, he felt angry because of the treatment. He also tried to remove the handcuffs, "What the hell? What is the meaning of all this?!"
Valcon gave no answer.
"Boost Attack!!"
Valcon cast a reinforcing spell. The spell increases his attack power for 10 seconds.
"Shield Dash..."
Valcon once again attacked. This time he ran towards Randolph whose power was sealed.
"Bruaak...."
He was thrown again until his body broke a wall behind him. That attack knocked him unconscious.
"You're strong enough, need a skill boost and two skills to knock you down"
In the Vip's horse carriage that had already started to leave the city, Agneshia complained, "That fellow, I feel something is wrong with him"
