Finally, after the guards made their decision, some of them escorted Randolph to the main city. There, the goal of the guards was to bring together Sultan and Randolph.
Randolph himself thought how a knight could be exalted in such a place. Randolph thought that he would be escorted by the guards into the palace. However, after they had started to enter the city, the guards didn't seem to be walking toward where the palace was looking from afar.
"Isn't the palace located on our left, uncle? Then why do we keep going straight?" said Randolph who looked confused.
One of the guards replied to Randolph's question
"Who is going to the palace?" He replied briefly.
Another guard chimed in with Randolph.
"We will meet with Sultan, kid. We didn't meet the king and queen," he added with a laugh that made the other guards join in.
The guards seemed to enter a bar. As they entered the bar, a distinct scent pierced Randolph's nose sharply.
