Standing before them is their sole enemy, no identity, full of mystery. Two silver headed men traveled along with their royal guards to a secluded place, no cars, no people, no nearby houses can be seen. And as planned, the Marcos' brothers disguised themselves as the Adonis' brothers.
Marcos' Brothers POV
"Hi! Kalios, here!"
"Gilbert."
"You might be wondering who we are. But those who read the past chapters might already know us. And for those who didn't— Ahem~ Ahem! Let me start with an introduction! I am Kalios Marcos! Best aide, best friend, best personal assistant of the Grand Duke himself. And the second born in a humble home of Count Marcos, our father, the one and only assistant of the former emperor. Pumpkin colored hair, fair skin, and light green eyes. Handsome, aren't I?"
"Gilbert Marcos, heir and first born of the Marcos' family. One and only close friend of the emperor and personal secretary, the best among the best, me. The same pumpkin colored hair, fair skin, and a hue of silver eyes. Way more handsome than my brother."
"You sure about that, brother?"
"Yes."
"Wha- I- You- Urghh. Shameless jerk!"
Gilbert made a peace sign as a form of victory against his younger brother with a blank expression. Whereas Kalios rolled his eyes and silently mocked his brother in his head. They then continued their real goal in this special treatment from the author.
"Thanks, Author!"- Marcos' brothers

"Anyways, back to the topic! As you already know who we are. Let me explain to you guys as to why we are the chosen one to disguise!"- Kalios
"It's beca—"
"It's because our ability is more or less the same. We are able to disguise ourselves whoever we want to. Just like Head Melissa, who is known as the copycat. We differ slightly from hers. We can't copy one's ability. Kalios' ability is Transform-and-Cancellation. It is a combination of copying one's features but his ability being able to cancel one's ability remains. While mine—"
"While Gilbert's ability is opposite to mine. Boomerang Reaction. It's a kind of ability that boomerangs the ability of one's ability. But the bonus to it is, he also has the privilege to copy a person's appearance. Amazing, right?!"
"So now, we are facing this dangerous 'Unidentified' enemy in order to save the Royal Highnesses."- Gilbert

End of Special POV
The disguised brothers stared blankly at the fox-masked man as he took out his daggers with a note hanging at the end of the handle. It reminded Gilbert and Kalios of what Grand Duke Arthur told him about this man.
"Don't let him get to you first. Never blink before him."
They both focused and imprinted in their minds that they should never blink. However, when destiny plays, leaves started to fall one by one as the wind silently sung in hymns. A single leaf was the only thing that disrupted their focus. The next thing they know is the fox-masked man was right in front of them.
The enemy shifted the dagger on his right hand pointing forward then let his body move to its own accord. He tried to pierce the weapon toward the younger brother, but failed when Kalios quickly evaded his attacks with a bit of imbalance into his defense. Gilbert, on the other hand, used his left hand and pulled Kalios closer to him. They both swirl in rotation in which they switch places, making the older brother in Kalios' spot. At the same time, he slightly pushed the arm of the enemy away then held it in place.
Gilbert was about to launch an attack however it backfired on him as he was sent flying and landed his back on the tree. Kalios, without missing the beat, held his left arm then shifted it to his back followed by the other hand then forcibly leaned his neck forward. He thought he finally got him but the enemy slightly bent his knees then quickly moved his back closer to his and used his head to hit his face.
Kalios felt the pain on his chin while was purely in shock with how hard his head was. He thought that the enemy's head was probably as hard as a huge barbell. it pissed him off, then Gilbert arrived on the scene and backed Kalios up. The royal guards quickly launched an attack but each and every one of them ended up lying on the ground while feeling the pain of injuries and fractures on their bodies.
It didn't take too long, Kalios and Gilbert followed with an attack in unison. Unfortunately, the enemy saw this coming. He slightly ducked then suddenly used his light body to jump as he flew away from them by flipping his entire body.
In the end, the two stumbled at the same time whereas the fox-masked man landed gracefully in front of them. Gilbert, who rarely gets angry, started to feel like a boiling volcano is about to explode inside of him. He felt like the enemy was taking things way too easy and was definitely holding back at them. He gave a small chuckle then his lifeless eyes twitch by the thought of the enemy underestimating them.
Kalios watched his brother slowly turning into a scary monster that made him gulp in fear. Gilbert's eyes slowly turned red which activates his ability and he started to position himself for a one on one battle.
The two began sparring each other, with the enemy holding his dagger whereas none for Gilbert. However, every time the enemy tries to attack him, it all bounces back to him. As they continued fighting against each other, the enemy finally managed to put everything to pieces. So to confirm his conclusion, instead of attacking him, he sliced his left hand.
Him injuring himself bounces back to Gilbert's. At first, Gilbert was confused but then continuous injuries kept appearing in his body that made him screech in pain. Kalios watched the battle and thought with amusement and disbelief that the enemy was not only smart but a psycho masochist.
He immediately uses his ability on Gilbert and cancels his ability but it also reveals his disguise. Not too long, Gilbert collapsed because of the shock his body was receiving. Kalios ran to his brother while changing to his original form.
It caught the enemy by surprise to see the two as an imposter. He quickly scanned the surroundings but he was too late the moment he was surrounded by the battalions of soldiers as well as the Adonis brothers. And so, the fight went on.
On the villa, prince Nikolai was tasked to detect the enemy's presence by following his father's presence while the two princes readied themselves for back up. Prince Nikolai continued trailing his father's presence until to where the Marcos' brothers were stationed. However, the moment his father arrived at the location, he felt a familiar presence and he definitely knew who it was. So, he asked for reassurance.
"Brother, where are they?"
"Our tracker said that they're at the location where we stationed Kalios and Gilbert too. Why?"- Prince William
"Are you sure?"
"Why would our tracker be wrong? Our tracker may not be as skilled as Hans but she's not inferior to his."- Prince Alexander
"…"
"Nikky, is there something wrong?"- Prince William
"N-no. I just want to make sure. I-I don't want to make a mistake."
Prince Nikolai sighed heavily which the eldest was quick to catch on and he immediately knew that he was lying to him. He decided to ignore it and went back to him after they captured the enemy.
The battle of one vs a battalion still continues. Shifting from one opponent to another. Then Emperor Charles and Grand Duke Arthur decided to join until the only ones left were the three of them. The emperor launched a loud punch in his gut while using his speed and it sent the enemy flying, then he accidentally released his dagger as he rolled himself on the ground.
The Grand Duke was about to do the same but the enemy was quick to dodge him despite the intense pain he is feeling right now. But before he could even stand properly, the dagger pierced the side of his stomach. And when he looked at the person who stabbed him, it was Kalios, who could barely hide his anger. He smirked at him and told him.
"You're done for."
The enemy was so stunned with the situation but he quickly gathered his strength and punched Kalios. The vampire flew away then he tried to stand as hard as he could, but he was unable to feel the presence of the Grand Duke getting near him. Only when he was in front of him did he realize that he was cornered by him. So, he tried to launch an attack while desperately trying to escape but failed when Grand Duke Arthur held his both hands up high making him scream in pain.
The moment he screamed, it shocked everyone around them because his scream wasn't a yelling of a man but a woman. Grand Duke Arthur quickly took off the fox mask. And when he saw the woman's face, he froze, a pure shock and perplexed emotions built up inside of him.
It was not just any woman. Paled skin, honey brown eyes, and natural-silky rose-gold ombre hair. Only one woman is capable of having this kind of unique look. And it was his bond… Catina Epione Vaughan.
