Jun Ye hurriedly came out and closed the door behind him, then ran a few steps to arrive beside her and followed her out of this area.
She cast a glance at him but didn't say anything. After walking for a while, the boy broke the silence.
"You said you can protect me from the bullies. How are you going to do that?"
She gave him a slight glance then looked ahead. "I go to the same school as you, that's where I saw you being bullied for the first time. If they bully you again in school, just come to me and I will stop them. As for outside the school, just stay out of their sight for a while until you are strong enough to beat them."
"Oh, oh." He nodded in embarrassment and kept quiet after that.
After getting out of this deserted area, the two took two different taxis and parted ways after saying goodbye to each other.
She was mentally exhausted after running around so much and after returning home she went to bed early to get a good night's sleep.
The next day in the school, nothing unexpected happened except for the announcement of a student's suspension for two weeks. Without a doubt, that student was Liya.
First, her mistake was announced on the school's broadcast, and then her punishment. In the end, there was a warning for all students to avoid such unrestrained behavior, or the punishment will be more severe next time.
Sitting in her seat, she smiled slightly and felt the different gazes coming from her classmates, anger, curiosity, envy, and cautiousness.
She cast a cursory glance at every one in the classroom and then got busy with her homework which she had neglected doing due to being busy with other affairs.
During lunch break, she spoke with Su Ming and got another address from her where a newly emerged D rank dungeon was located. According to the deal, in exchange, she paid her with 5 bottles of healing potion in advance.
She also got two days of time to clear the dungeon this time in exchange for another extra bottle of healing potion.
It was difficult for a new dungeon not to be discovered for two days, but Su Ming told her that she will assign people to guard the dungeon for two days and prevent others from going in.
After returning home from school, she called Axane in her room. The beautiful maid stood in front of her attentively and waited for her to speak.
"Axane, I am going out for two days and I will not take bodyguards with me. But don't worry about my safety, I will be taking defensive magic weapons with me that auntie gave me before. I will be back on sunday night at most." She looked into the maid's eyes and stated her business calmly.
Axane wanted to stop her from going out alone for so long, but when she said that she will take defensive magic weapons with her, she calmed down and nodded. "Very well, please take good care of yourself, Miss and be safe on your outing."
"I will, thank you, Axane." She thanked the Head Maid with a smile.
Not long after Axane left, her cellphone rang, and the call interface showed the name Jun Ye. She picked up the call.
"Miss Shen, I have finished the job. Where should I deliver the mana cores to you?" The young boy's voice sounded very excited.
It was the first time Jun Ye had obtained training materials from somewhere apart from his family, and it was through his hard work. It made the young boy, who had been oppressed by bullies and suffered depression, very excited.
She smiled, "Meet me in half an hour in front of the shopping mall where we first met. Have you taken your share?"
"Yes, I have taken 300 E ranked mana cores, thank you." Jun Ye replied energetically.
"This is your payment, no need to thank me."
"Okay"
After hanging up she was about to go outside when her cellphone rang again.
"Hello, Miss Shen?" A male voice sounded, which she recognized as Du Xian's.
"Yes, have you decided whether to take the job or not?" She directly came to the point.
"Yes, I have decided to take it. Some extra money doesn't hurt. I have already contacted the butcher and he agreed. Now, I only need to deliver the goods to him." Du Xian said with a firm voice.
"Good. The goods are stored in a warehouse, I will send you the contact number of a boy named Jun Ye later. Make an appointment with him, and he will supervise the transport of the goods in the warehouse. After the carcasses are processed, sent the useful parts back to the warehouse. As for the money from the sold meet, gave it to Jun Ye, and he will settle the bill for both you and the butcher." She explained everything in one go without stopping.
"Okay, I understand." Came a short reply, and she hung up the call.
She called Jun Ye again and explained his next job to him in detail. After hanging up, she sent his contact number to Du Xian and stop thinking about this matter for the time being.
Presently, she had a more concerning matter in front of her; conquering a D ranked dungeon.
She was planning to leave right away and before going to the dungeon she decided to meet Jun Ye first to receive the mana cores from him.
After making sure she had put everything she needed in the Inventory, she changed into simple and easy to move clothes and left the mansion.
Her driver took her to the shopping mall where she made an appointment with Jun ye and left.
The boy was already waiting for her there and gave her the bag containing the mana cores.
She didn't talk any nonsense with him and after taking the bag she bade farewell to him. Taking the taxi to the park where the D ranked dungeon was located, she sat in the back seat and took out her cellphone and searched for information about the park.
It was the only natural park in the city, with dense woods and a lake made from a waterfall. The ecological system for harmless biological lifeforms were kept intact. There were protective measures to prevent any carnivores to inhabit in the park. Even so, the natural environment was still dangerous for ordinary humans.
The D ranked dungeon she was going to, was located in the woods inside the park, and it was safe for now. Even if it was discovered by people, the people sent by Su Ming would stop them from any adventure in the name of officials.
The taxi dropped her at the park's entrance. After paying off the fare, she entered the park and took out the map to plan her route to the dungeon entrance.
Without paying attention to the beautiful scenery along the way, which she had seen plenty in the first two dungeons, she arrived in front of the dungeon portal without any hurdle.
Maybe the badge she was wearing played a role in her non-interrupted arrival near the portal. The said badge was given to her by Su Ming to avoid any misunderstanding, and she had the System analyzed it before wearing it. It was just an ordinary badge to let her pass through the portal by the watchers from Su Ming.
She had put on a hood and a mask to avoid recognition from the people guarding the dungeon. She didn't stay long in front of the portal and jumped straight in.
After her vision cleared, she found herself standing in a dark cave with dim light. The place she was standing was a small stone chamber which had multiple forks leading further ahead. The ground was uneven, and the walls were rough. The place was damp and the musty smell in a relatively closed and damp place was burning her throat.
Ignoring the smell she squinted her eyes and waited for her eyes to get use to the dim light. She observed her surrounding carefully and narrowed her eyes when she noticed some webs on the cave's ceiling.
"Are the inhabitants spiders this time?" She muttered to herself and walked towards the forks.
Opening the Map panel, she observed it and chose the fork with less red dots and stepped into it. She kept a close eye on the walls and ceiling to avoid getting ambushed.
Ding…
Side task: Conquer your first D ranked dungeon.
Rewards: 10k SP, 2 AP, a C ranked dagger.
She paused in her footsteps and took a glance at the newly issued side task, which brought a smile on her face.
'System, although the rewards are very generous this time, but why is it a dagger again? Do you perhaps like daggers?' She asked teasingly.
