Chapter 1 - The Lord Awakens

Episode 1 Cataclysm Approaching

Somewhere in the Heavenly Realm

"What is the reason for this emergency meeting?" Brahman, the hindu god of all creation demanded, sitting on a lotus.

"I've been receiving worrying reports from my direct subordinates. It seems that those people started to make moves again." Sarbe, Brahman's right hand man, quickly answered his supreme god.

"The Star Clan." Brahman said solemnly, the vitriol in his attitude now gone.

"Tell us Sarbe, what have your people discovered?" Saraswati, Brahman's wife, calmly addressed the small man that had been tasked with giving two vastly superior beings, bad news.

"At present, the Star Lord seems to still be dormant, but the current movements of the Star Clan suggest that he might awaken in the near future." Sarbe said, trembling in front of two gods, holding his fear of any consequences that his news might bring back with all his strength.

"What of the Star Maiden?" Brahman curiously inquired.

"At present, we have not found any clues of her whereabouts, but seeing that the Star Clan is starting to move, it would be safe to assume that she is preparing to make her moves as well."

"The Star Clan is known for their strong faith, to the point where it can easily become their downfall and for their rashness. If the Star Maiden has reunited with the Star Clan and is guiding them… No. For now, finding the Star Maiden is our top priority." Brahman's body language gave Sarbe to understand that even he finds the Star Lord a threat.

"Yes, sir." Serba quickly made his way out of the Enchanted Lake area in which Brahman and his wife Saraswati resided.

The Enchanted Lake is an area in the Heavenly Realm where due to Brahman's presence, the laws of physics do not apply. The Enchanted Lake is a floating island and it's accompanied by many other smaller islands around it. The sky that day was especially peaceful and blue.

"We can not allow the Star Lord to awaken. If he does, all of our efforts of sealing that thing will have been in vain. It took all of the gods from all of the other mythologies to seal him, and even then we suffered devastating losses across all mythologies…" Brahman said in a manner in which he doesn't display often.

Brahman is known as a god who creates but also as a god that doesn't destroy or tries to preserve.

An energy outburst that erupted from the Enchanted Lake had wiped out a few dozen floating islands.

"I am aware. I am your knowledge after all." Saraswati replied in the same calm and collected way as she did before.

The news had quickly spread to the other mythologies residing in the heavenly realm. The first one to find out was Zeus.

"Are Brahman's sources reliable?!" Zeus bellowed, his voice like thunder coming down.

Zeus especially hated the Star Lord and the Star Clan, but even his hatred for them was outshadowed by the fear he had of the creature that would be freed.

"Yes, father." Ares calmly replied to his angered father.

Thunder had started to come down in intervals of a few seconds, due to Zeus' mental state. The thunder had relentlessly hit Mount Olympus.

"Looks like we need to get the Mortal Realm involved… If that thing were to ever escape imprisonment… We would not be able to stop it from destroying the universe." Zeus' demeanor was different than usual. His usual confident and easy going attitude was replaced with a seriousness that his son never saw before.

"Would you like me to get in contact with the King of Humans?" Ares gave his father an astute suggestion.

"That won't be enough. We have to mobilize every mythology and every race walking the Mortal Realm. We need to make sure that the Star Lord will never awaken. While we are at it, we should destroy the Star Clan for good."

"I understand father." Ares stopped kneeling and was preparing to go down to the Mortal Realm, but his father had briefly stopped him.

"Ares. The Star Lord cannot die." Zeus had seen right through Ares.

Ares didn't say anything and just made his way to the gate that leads to the Mortal Realm. Coincidentally the thunder had stopped coming down as often.

"If what my mother and father told me about the creature… I shudder at the prospect of us failing…"

A number of races walk the Mortal Realm. The Elves, a race that had existed in a time in which the creature was still running freely. The Dwarves that worship Hephaestus. The humans who worship multiple gods from multiple mythologies. The Fairy Race, created by Athena and is still worshiping her. The daurons, or more commonly known as demons, who worship Satan who is still reigning over them.

To ensure that the Star Lord will not awaken, the collaboration of the Mortal Races and the entire Heavenly Realm is necessary. An overwhelming offensive to destroy the Star Clan and the Star Maiden.

At the Human Kingdom Palace

"I understand." The King Of Humans, Alabasta, kneeled in front of the god in front of him.

"Unfortunately, if you wish to seek the aid of the other races, a trip to the other continent will be necessary." Alabasta added.

The palace was built to be similar to the Palace of Westminster in London, a country that existed before the unification of all humanity. The throne room in which the two were discussing was simple. The throne sat at the end of the room, and down 3 stairsteps was the table where the King and his closest servants discussed important matters regarding the Human Kingdom, Alascia. Ares was sitting on the throne, his muscular torso covered in battle scars.

"What do you suggest, Alabasta?" Ares asked the comparatively small man in front of him. However Alabasta stood his ground.

"As I cannot leave the kingdom for any reason… I could assemble a squad to go to the Jalascai Continent and negotiate with the Fairies, Elves and Dwarves." Even Ares was surprised at how good of a suggestion a man that he considered inferior had given him.

"If I may, why have you chosen to speak with me first?" Alabasta inquired, out of mere curiosity.

"That's because the Star Lord is a human. While we do not know of his whereabouts either, we think that the Star Lord is currently residing in Alascia."

The realization hit Alabasta hard. What would the Heavenly Realm do to him or to Alascia if the Star Lord was found to be indeed, living in Alascia. Ares had quickly noticed that.

"Don't worry, Alabasta. We may be gods, but we are not unreasonable. Especially at a time where one false move could trigger the destruction of the universe. We need to put aside our differences and work together to stamp out this threat in its absolute, complete entirety."

It was one surprise after another for Alabasta. He only then realized the true gravity of the situation.

"Then… I have another suggestion that may prove useful."

Ares had looked him in the eyes for a couple of moments and then gave Alabasta the signal to go ahead and speak.

"..."

The grin on Ares' face became larger and larger as Alabasta explained.

"Leave it to a human to manipulate others at the drop of a hat! You can go ahead and proceed with that then."

The next day a press conference had taken place.

"I am here in the throne room where only His Majesty and his most trusted subordinates are allowed to be in for a huge announcement!"

The voice of the female reporter played in the house of nearly every citizen of Alascia.

"Looks like the press conference is about to start." The reporter stated before going silent.

With the sound of the voices of the people inside, the sound of photo cameras and small movements filled the room.

"Hello, my dear citizens. I will go straight to the point. Recently, a threat has come to my attention. A threat dangerous enough that warranted one of the gods of the Heavenly Realm to come and inform me personally."

This sentence caused a variety of reactions. Some were surprised, some even started to feel fear and some did not care that much or at all.

"First off, you all need to know who the Star Clan is and what their objective is. The Star Clan is an organization that serves a person called the Star Lord. They are known to be devoted and even maniacal in their belief. At present, the Star Lord has not awakened yet, but if he were to awaken, the seal on an ancient creature that left the Heavenly Realm in shambles would be lifted. Needless to say, if we do not work together with our neighbors on the Jalascai Continent and the Heavenly Realm to destroy this threat with maximum efficiency, the world as we know it will be gone in a matter of hours." Alabasta remained calm and stone cold the entire time to reinforce that this matter needs to be taken as seriously as humanly possible.

"That is all I have to say for now."

Not even a second after Alabasta said that, the other reporters at the scene had started to bombard him with countless questions.

"Please. One at a time."

The reporters then all sat down on their chairs and started to ask one question at a time.

"Your Majesty, who informed you of this threat exactly?" A reporter in the back inquired.

"It was Ares, the Greek god of war and son of Zeus."

The reporters had started to get rambunctious again, but calmed themselves down.

"Do you have any information on the whereabouts of the Star Clan, or the Star Lord?" A reporter in the middle of the pack asked.

"We do not have any concrete information, but we do believe that the Star Lord is living with us in Alascia."

"What did you mean when you said that the Star Lord has not awakened yet?" Another reporter came up with an interesting question that piqued the attention of every other reporter.

"The Star Lord has been living for as long as the gods have existed, but due to the seal, all of his memories are gone so he likely is not aware of the fact that he is the Star Lord."

"What are his abilities?" Another good question came from inside the group of reporters.

"As you all know, a wielder of Spiritual Energy can be classified in two groups. Normals, who use their power to influence the world, and as such even masters can't help but waste a lot of Spiritual Energy. The monarchs have complete control over the element they have an affinity to. It is said that the Star Lord, in his awakened state, would be capable of messing with the laws of the universe."

The reporters were all shocked and many other people who were watching the broadcast.

"What do you mean by that exactly, your majesty?"

Alabasta then quickly replied with no hesitation in an effort to show his wish to share as much information with the citizens as possible.

"There aren't many gods still alive that have seen the Star Lord in person, but one story that has been passed down the ages was one in which the Star Lord could create rifts in space that allowed him and his lackeys to travel anywhere in a matter of seconds."

The reporters were left stunned.

"I assume there are no other questions?" Alabasta said, short and to the point.

Nobody said anything.

"Before I leave, I want you to know that anyone who works to stop this effort of uniting every race and deal with this threat will be executed with no questions asked." Alabasta said while the reporters were leaving the throne room.

Later that day, online news and the newspaper regarding the press conference came out and other people had the chance to inform themselves.
