Molaki and Asta weren't able to reconnect in person until it was time for dinner in the evening, though they both had kept busy. The newest leader had much to go over, finding out about all the behind the scenes issues the head Alphas had been dealing with.
He was surprised that they actually had kept so much secret from their community, but none of it was terribly urgent or scary. It was for their own good, the two veterans explained. They were petty squabbles between neighbors, issues with one of the crops having a blight - Molaki offered up immediately that Asta's herd had had a similar issue, but with dire consequences.
Asta had helped around the community center, making sure to stay close to the room that Molaki was in, and it seemed to work. His pain had not come back, and to prove Milo the doctors' theory, the self inflicted cut on his opposite arm was already scabbed over and nearly healed by the time they decided to break for the day.
