In time, the monsters all around the shores and cities close to the large bodies of water were dealt with, and the battle was taken into waters. Quite frankly, humans were put in a disadvantageous position once they stepped foot into the waters.
They quickly found that the monsters they had been fighting had never been operating at their full capacity while on land. Now that they were in water, even the weakest of monsters was much more stronger than they would be in land.
Veritas returned some time later after the request they received had been completed. Once she returned, she gave a report to Victor of how the entire experience was, as a first hand witness. That wasn't the only account being requested though.
