Every child is innocent its a known thing, A rule, A decree, For example many religions believe that kids are born good and that its the influence of the world that changes that, Well adam wasn't a exception of that, Unfortunately innocence most of the time is connected to naivety and foolishness some might say weakness, Well kids are weak in nature another thing adam wasnt an exception in.

Pov:(3rd pov)
Walking through the corridor was little adam with a objective on his mind and it was....going to the bathroom,A hard mission to do in the middle of the night indeed.
making sure to not wake up anybody, Walking slowly on his toes gently to not make a sound with his steps,Just as he was about to make a turn to the right so he can get to the bathroom,He heard a sound from the opposite side,It was the side that led straight to mr.steve's office.
Adam was about to ignore whatever he heard from that side and continue to the bathroom,But there was that sound again this time louder.
Adam stopped and turned to the opposite side of the bathroom deciding to see what was the cause of that sound, Adam kept walking through the corridor leading to mr.steve's office,The closer he got the louder sound got,It sounded like someone was crying and the sound of.. grunting?.
Nevertheless it didn't take much time for Adam to reach the end of corridor where the office was,the door to the was slit open enough for just little light to come out,With each step he took the cry got louder soon the cry sounded like muffled wailing.
Now adam was standing infront of the door,His heart beating fast..really fast,Something told him not to look through the door's open crack,He felt that something bad was behind that door,But....his curiosity got the better of him...so he looked, He looked through the crack and saw.
Adam saw mr.steve standing at the side of the desk that was right infront of the window, Infront of him(mr.steve)was a bended over little figure, It was anthony one of the kids that was living in the orphanage with adam.Adam couldn't really comprehend or understand what is happening but one thing was for sure of,He was scared Anthony's wailing and crying made it one hundred times worse
Adam couldn't keep looking, He took a step back preparing to turn around and leave unfortunately with that step came the sound of creaking, Creaking of old wood.Adam froze in his place he couldn't see inside the room anymore,But he can hear and he heard...nothing,absolutely nothing all the wailing and crying stopped,Adam couldn't just stand there and see whats gonna happen next so he turned and ran to the sleeping room,For some reason this time the room felt far to reach too far actully,But eventually he arrived,He immediately threw himself on the bed and hid inside the blanket.
Under his blanket adam felt the safest how couldn't he,Most kids hide under there blankets to get away from monsters.Just as adam was about to relax he heard the sound of the rooms door opening and with it came the sound of footsteps,Adam couldn't breath it was oxygen as if all the oxygen just vanished,he heard the sound of the door closing,Adam was able to breath again he let out a sigh of relief.Adam moved up from under the blankets,just to see a tall figure standing infront of his bed,Looking down on him.Adam couldn't talk couldn't make a sound even his breathing stopped again,but then he he heard mr.steve speak with a smile on his face
"You know you shouldn't spy on people,But i guss its my fault,I should've taught,well we still have time for that dont we."
His voice was low and faint but enough for adam to hear everything,He then moved his hand on top of adam's head and stroked it,the said
"Good night adam"
And then 01 opened his eyes.
