"Do not worry about him, he cannot go anywhere with the silver effect in his veins." They left Matt alone and went out of the cave.
Meanwhile, Matt lay still, his mind whirling with thoughts. The conversation he had overheard confirmed his suspicions. These were no ordinary people. They were witches, and they were somehow connected to Adrian, Aida's half-brother. He did not know that Adrian was Aida's half-brother. After they found Adrian in the forest Aida and Adenos took care of him.
He had to escape. He had to warn his Alpha and find out what was really happening. But how? The silver blade had weakened him, and he couldn't even form a mind link with his pack.
Matt's thoughts kept returning to Adrian. The mysterious young man they had found in the forest had never quite fit in with the pack. There was always something strange about him, something hidden. His Alpha had never told them anything about him rather than he is an orphan. Was this what Vella and Vall were talking about? Had they discovered his secret?
With a sudden surge of determination, Matt forced himself to sit up. Pain shot through his body, but he ignored it. He had to escape. He had to find out the truth and warn his pack.
Slowly, carefully, he began to crawl deep inside the cave. Every movement was agony, but he refused to give in. Vella and Vall were still arguing, their voices growing fainter as he moved further away.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Matt reached an opening. The cool night air washed over him, and he stumbled to his feet, his body trembling with exhaustion. On top of him, there was a place where the fresh air comes toward him.
He didn't have much time. The silver blade's effects were still coursing through his system, and he could feel himself growing weaker by the minute. But he had to keep going. He had to find Aida. He had to explain what is happening here. Aida, she can manage to find the truth about these witches.
With a determined glint in his eye, Matt start to climb to the place where the air comes, his heart pounding with fear and anticipation, he would reach his Alpha.
Meanwhile, Aida's senses were on high alert as she prowled through the dense forest, her wolf form agile and swift with her Beta Adenos and the patrols. The faint scent of Matt lingered in the air, leading her towards the border of Namenia. A sense of foreboding clawed at her gut. Something was wrong. Terribly wrong.
Her mind raced with thoughts of Matt's last communication, the head of the guard said that his message filled with urgency and concern. He'd sensed something strange near the border, a disturbance in the energy that neither of them could explain. Then, suddenly, his mind link had gone silent, and they'd been unable to reach him.
She knew what the energy disturbances in the air meant. It must have been about witches.
The mysterious arrival of Adrian, her half-brother, the half-warlock, had only added to the confusion and concern. She had decided to know him. Therefore, she decided that he and Adones would share the same cottage for a while. Though she'd taken care of him since finding him in the forest, there was still something about him that she couldn't quite understand. While she was searching for the scent of Matt, her mind was full of Adrian.
As Aida followed Matt's scent, a howl pierced the night, and Aida's heart skipped a beat. It was a cry of pain, a cry of desperation. It was Matt. All of them heard this.
Pushing her legs to move faster, Aida raced toward the source of the howl. Her instincts screamed at her that time was running out. Matt was in trouble, and she needed to reach him before it was too late. Behind her, Adenos and his guards were following her. Adenos tried to mind link to her but she blocked him. He had to slow her down, otherwise at that speed, they'd be in trouble before they could strategize.
