Adrian exits his room hesitantly after taking a shower and is welcomed by the aroma of delicious food coming from the kitchen, which makes his mouth water.
He notices that Adenos enjoys cooking. He clears his throat to catch Adenos' attention because he doesn't know how to be greeted by him. When Adenos hears the voice, he smiles and turns to face him.
"Good morning, I hope you're feeling better today."
"Thank you," Adrian murmured, bowing his head. "I'm much better." In a hushed voice, he continues, "I must apologize for what I did and said yesterday."
'No problem. I understand that all of this is too much for you. I'm not sure what I would have done if I had known this when I was your age. Come on! First and foremost, eat something. After that, we pick up where we left off.
Adenos' understanding embarrassed Adrian even more.
'Come on, let's put yesterday behind us.' Let's get this day off to a good start.' He says to Adrian and extends his hand to him.
As Adrian shakes Adenos' hand, he realizes that he enjoys the energy emanating from him. He was more certain that this man was of his blood, that he was his brother.
In silence, they eat their breakfast.
"Please let me help you, you made the meals," Adrian says when it's time to gather the dishes.
'At the very least, let me do the dishes.' He remarked this as he stood up to assist.
After Adenos washes the dishes, he pours tea for both and they proceed to the living room. Adenos believes it's better to pick up where he left off yesterday's chat and begins speaking.
'Adrian. Look at me. I can only imagine how difficult it has been for you. I'm not sure how you're feeling but believe me when I say that I'm sorry for everything you've been through. I wish I had known about it before now. My father, on the other hand, kept my mother's existence hidden from me. That's why I was unaware of your existence. You wouldn't have had to go through any of this if I had been present. But I promise you that from today, I will constantly keep an eye on you, support you and be there for you if you need it. I will never let anything bad happen to you. You have my word. The first day I met you, the moment you didn't let me touch you, I realized that you had gone through bad things. But until you tell me what really happened, my thoughts are no more than a guess. If you want to talk, I'm ready to listen. But if you say you can't explain, I consent to that too. I want you to know that whenever you feel ready, I will be there to listen.' said Adenos sadly.
Adrian didn't think he could tell anyone what he had been through. His eyes filled with tears and he felt deep pain when he thought of what he had been through. What he went through was embarrassing, of course, filled with pain. However, he felt that he would be crushed under this burden if he did not share them.
'Adenos, you are the most qualified individual to understand what I have gone through in this life. You are my sibling and a descendant of my ancestors. But what I've gone through is humiliating, and I can't go into detail about it. I can reveal, however, that Jake, the leader of the Guardians of the Darkness Moon Pack, injected me with liquid silver, beat me every day, and fed me very little food in order to destroy my wolf while in the dungeon, as instructed by his Alpha and Beta. He refused to let anyone speak to me.
I was 12 years old and completely alone. It was also impossible for me to reach Demus.. When my wolf did not return a year later, they stopped injections, believing they had eliminated it. Jake, on the other hand, never stopped beating me. I spent another year in the same conditions if that can be called life. Despite having alpha blood, my healing skills were limited without my wolf, and my wounds did not heal. In those days, I always wanted to die. But the Moon Goddess encouraged me not to give up, to keep going.
Then one day Beta came to the dungeon and said that I should prepare for the bidding. As a result, I was let out of the dungeon. While I had given up hope of ever getting out of there, I was relieved to see the light of day. I was overjoyed that the Moon Goddess' prophecy would come true.' Adrian could no longer keep back the tears in his eyes as he remembered those days, and he sobbed his way through the rest of his speech.
