"Sir Isaac's action was instigated by Sir Lawrence, who spoke out of turn with Lady Yulia's and the late Master Wing's names. He also laughed at the mention of Knight Orthus. Sir Isaac was patient until his promoter's and the leader's name; thus, his action was in defense of the Dracma Family and the Honor of a Knight under the Church of Justice." Elie recounted.
Isaac's guide reported what happened to the people inside the tent. She did not spare any lie and even added incriminating facts that didn't do with Isaac's actions.
Talon, Xerxes, and Artemis, who were in the dark, finally understood the situation.
"So, you beat him up for your Promoter's sake? That is honorable." Artemis praised.
"Thank you," Isaac said, and Artemis nodded.
Xerxes had the same regard, and Talon was rocking back and forth on his chair.
'Huh, I thought it would be more troublesome.' Isaac thought to himself, but he's just happy he didn't have to kill anyone. The killing wasn't something he particularly enjoyed.
"Elie ensures no one can visit Lawrence. Assign him a doctor from the Redulant Family, so if he demands anything, he'll get punished. Prepare a Draco Falcon as well. I will send the report before Lawrence can start anything." Orthus did not want to start anything, "Don't worry, this will not affect Yulia or you. It was my fault for accepting such a person to accompany me."
"It's all right. I was too impulsive as well."
'It seems like the Dracma Family has some complicated internal strife.' Isaac concluded. Though he did not understand why Orthus was helping him, he could surmise that Orthus was more scheming than Isaac initially thought, 'From the looks of it, he's more than happy to kick that Lawrence fellow out of his way.'
Isaac's happy Orthus was helping him, but he could tell, 'He's crafty.'
But he kept such thoughts to himself. After all, Orthus still helped him. There was no reason to antagonize him. After everything was prepared, all that was left was to discuss the matter at hand, "There is an Anarchy Lord awakening in the forest's heart west of this camp. There used to be a town, but it had been transformed into a natural fortress surrounded by monsters acting as the Anarchy Lord's servants. From this, we can gather that we face a Beast Anarchy Lord. A Battalion was sent to deal with them, but they were all turned into food and only strengthened the enemy.
"When news of it spread, more and more Seekers attempted to go to the forest, but most of them did not return. These sacrifices, however, led to the information that the awakening Anarchy Lord is not alone, and under her are two Generals. We do not know their identities or what they are doing, but it was said that they wanted to heal the Anarchy Lord, meaning this is the perfect time for us to strike before the Anarchy Lord wakes up and wreaks havoc." Orthus recounted what they knew.
It was mainly for Isaac, who had just arrived, "Did you get, Sir Isaac?"
Isaac nodded.
"Well then, let us proceed. We were unsure if you would come, but thankfully you are here as Yulia's replacement. You will be given command of her pre-determined post. From the letter she sent a few days ago, she told us that you could do whatever she could."
Isaac blushed, but he did not let it show as much as possible.
"It was initially decided that there will be five leaders in this Subjugation. Range, Tanks, Vanguards, Rear, and the Supports. The Range would fall under Artemis' commands. Tanks would be handled by Xerxes. The Vanguards would be by Xerxes, and then the rear would be commanded by me. Then the Support would be you in place of Yuli-"
"Wait, Support?" Isaac raised his hand in opposition, "I think there's a massive misunderstanding. I am not fit to take the role of Support. I can just be a vanguard."
"Impossible. Do you not remember what I said? You are Yulia's replacement, and she's the most skilled in Support Skills. Also, we can't waste time with this, Sir Isaac; we already announced that we are attacking them tonight." Orthus objected.
"What!? You're going to attack tonight!?! Are you insane!?" Isaac raised his voice.
The four inside raised their brows. Talon even growled at him, "What's wrong with that? We have enough force to overwhelm them. If we use the others to block off the monsters and lead the Vanguards up the Mountain Base, we will be able to kill the Anarchy Lord and end this.
"If you're worried about cooperation, there's a reason why we picked mostly those who have experience working in groups. What, don't tell me you're looking down on these brave warriors who spent twice your life on the battlefield." Talon shot him a smirk as he looked over Isaac's head.
Isaac took a deep breath and looked around them all with a severe look in his eyes, "It seems like you already know the problems, and you're not even going to do anything? Looking down on those warriors? What bullshit, the one who's doing that is you. If you don't see any problem with this plan, then all I can say is that you're all stupid."
"What did you say to me, brat?!"
"Talon!" Artemis stopped Talon from laying a hand on Isaac. Artemis was also pissed, but she was not as impulsive as Talon. Artemis shot Isaac a glare as she folded her arms, "Isaac, I know where you're coming from but know that we are going in this fight with experienced warriors. This plan had been agreed upon to be the most efficient and most effective. We can't risk losing any more time, or the Anarchy Lord might wake up."
"Experienced on the battlefield? Yes, they are indeed, but can't you tell the friction between the two groups? If you can't even see that, then you're blind." Isaac remarked.
"Elaborate." It was Orthus who encouraged Isaac.
"On my way here, I saw a Knight about to die after trying to swing his sword on a man whose back was turned. In their little groups, they might work, but in this kind of battle? No. They won't be able to cooperate well, the chain of command would class, their egos getting in the way. You may have hundreds of men under you, but if you go tonight, all you'll have is a hundred corpses to drag back to their families. But you're lucky; you guys are fighting beasts, that means you might only carry a limb or two, maybe a mauled head if you're lucky after your ranks are decimated, and beasts run you all down like boys playing Knight."
Everyone inside that tent fell silent. They did not want to admit it, but Isaac's words were true.
Isaac did not mince his words; why should he? People's lives are in the hands of these amateurs.
After a good while, Orthus finally raised his head and looked at Isaac, "Then, what do you suggest, Sir Isaac? You want us to first train the volunteers, but we do not have the time. The Anarchy Lord can open its eyes at any moment, and when that happens, it won't just be hundreds who would die. Potentially millions could die."
Orthus was more accepting of Isaac's words.
He also did not want to lose lives if there was a way to avoid them.
Isaac looked at the man laid down on the long table before him. He borrowed a pen from them and asked, "Where is the Anarchy Lord located?"
Orthus circled the area west of their camp 15 kilometers deep into the Forest region. The entire area was depicted as nothing but trees, 'It is literally at the heart of the Forest, that means marching there is already going to be tough. The beasts will be accustomed, so their movements would obviously be sharper than ours. There are Generals under the unconscious Anarchy Lord, so they are the ones controlling them.'
Thirty minutes of silence later, Isaac finally looked back at Orthus, "Is it necessary to attack now?"
"Yes." Orthus answered without any hesitation.
"Okay, so I have a plan."
"What is it?" asked Orthus.
Artemis and the others leaned forward, waiting for his answer. Only Talon clicked his tongue in frustration, but even he still waited for Isaac to speak.
And as for what Isaac's grand plan was, it was relatively simple, "Let's burn the Forest down."
