Tides rose and fell, lapping against the steep cliffs by the seaside.
On the cliff face, inscribed with mysterious runes that one glance could tell were extremely revered and noble, stood the Mage Tower, having been there for twelve hundred years.
Time, on this blue and white tower, seemed eternal.
The tower stretched hundreds of meters into the sky, its interior divided into several zones. Here one could enjoy a lifestyle more privileged than that of a royal palace, and also possess research conditions that topped those of anywhere else in the Shattered Sea.
This was the Island Master Tower of the third star of the Seven Star Alliance.
At the top of the tower,
a refined middle-aged man wearing a monocle and dressed in a navy blue robe was slowly placing a chess piece in his hand.
