This feeling wasn't bad, as they had a bright path ahead of them.
They had become Superhuman Rank, just yesterday; their application was approved, and they followed a senior student to an Awakening site hidden in a valley.
Then, as naturally as water flows into a channel, they successfully advanced to the fourth Awakening. The whole process was far less difficult and dangerous than they had imagined.
They should have been amazed, yet, to their surprise, they found they were not overly shocked. Instead, they felt it wasn't something to be proud of, that it was normal, and it should be so.
Upon closer examination, they discovered the reason.
