Above the unexplored oasis, various colossal and ornate vehicles floated in the air.
These vehicles were all of considerable size; the oasis itself was too narrow. Many of the massive bodies were still hanging over the edge of the oasis, reaching into the dense grey fog.
However, as the four dominant forces arrived, the fleets, palaces, fortresses, and airships suspended at the highest point each diffused divine light, which astonishingly dispersed the surrounding fog. Within tens of thousands of meters around, only wispy tendrils of thin mist drifted, with the sky's faint light above and the grey waves of the tide below.
These waves were none other than the Filthy Sea.
The Shattered Sea was a generic term for the region, while the Filthy Sea specifically referred to the entire body of water in the region, which was a dark grey akin to sewage discharged from drainage pipes.
