As the Silver Moon flying ship set sail to deliver reinforcements to the Black Stone Alliance and numerous other Great Oases, far away in the Twilight Ruins of the Great Domain, a figure zoomed through the dense grey fog at lightning speed, leaving behind a trail of lingering afterimages.
Like most of the vast areas in the Ghastly Realm, the ground in the Twilight Ruins was dead silent, the sky dreary, and the grey fog surged like waves, creating a scene that remained unaltered for a thousand years.
But there were differences.
When the light of items like lanterns pushed away the thick grey fog, Awakeners could barely make out the slanted orange glow on the horizon, just like at dusk when the sun sets. This dusky scene also remained unchanged for thousands of years, as if it were a backdrop firmly stuck on the horizon.
Underneath the grey fog, the land was littered with innumerable, dried-up ruins and walls.
