The Hidden Assassination Pavilion, an organization of Assassins with a fearsome reputation in the dark world, had one of its arms severed. Even though Hidden Assassination Pavilion's gold-medal Assassins still existed, the loss of a large number of lower to mid-tier Assassins still plunged the organization into a slump. The other major Assassin organizations in the Shattered Sea area took this opportunity to snatch market shares from the Hidden Assassination Pavilion.
As to why the Hidden Assassination Pavilion had split, different powers and strong individuals had various theories, but nobody could disclose the inside story.
On that day at the Blazefire Commerce Guild, some strong individuals did witness the defeat of the Pavilion Master, but their number was negligible when spread across the entire Shattered Sea region.
