Chapter 5 - Chapter 2: Part 3 Those who are your beggars

"Did all the beggars ran away?"

"They used to run away often and I would go kidnap them and brought them back again. But then a tragedy happened."

"What kind of tragedy?"

"One morning I went to my office and saw that there was a poor old man standing in the corridor near by.... I saw him and my mouth started watering out of greed. There was a real living beggar right in front of me.... I thought, I will take him to my beggar home and increase my count. So I approached him. But before doing so, I called out for a taxi and guided the driver and then went on and said:

'Assalam o alaikum"

'Yes, Wa alaikum.' The old man said very humbly.

'Baba ji I have something to say to you.' I also replied humbly.

'To me, a poor man...' He said in surprise. Of course I want to talk you poor man, who else is here. I said in my heart.

'Yes, I have a very important task for you.... Come here for a minute.... If you can come here in the taxi, it will be easy to talk. I will always be grateful for your kindness. I am like your child. Please listen to this child.'

While talking, I took him to the taxi. He sat down at my request and I gestured to the driver and the taxi started... He made a lot of noise about where I was taking him.... I am a gentleman... But this is what every poor person used to say.... I took him and locked him in the beggar home."

"Then what happened?"

"Then it happened that the next week when the boss went to beggar home for inspection, this poor man looked at him and went to hug him while crying. 'Son, this person forcibly brought me here.' This beggar was the father of my boss.

"But you didn't even realize that...."

"Boss's father came from the village. We urban people consider all the villagers as poor. Because their dress up is different from ours. So I just did a mistake."

"Then what happened next?"

"Then, I was fired. So never talk about social welfare in front of me ever again.... I will not serve human beings...."

"But when you quit your job, you became very rich..."

"Yes...." He let out a long sigh. "This is the effect of the prayers of all those poor people. Which I used to forcibly bring to the beggar's home."
