"Prince Agenor, please let me go! I will be serving you for your lunch," said Syrena. She tried to calm down. The brunette princess was forcing her lips into a smile.
"But this one looks more interesting." said the prince with a lustful gaze when he saw Syrena's slender neck.
Prince Agenor's words gave Syrena the chills. The brunette princess still remembered how painful her neck was when the fangs pierced her veins.
"I promise to give you more cute bunnies," said Agenor. He was staring into Syrena's clear silver eyes.
Syrena was not want to make eye contact. She stared at the rabbit sitting on the table.
[Hey bunny, do something! Don't daydream!]
Either the rabbit understood Syrena's heart or not. But the rabbit jumped off the table instead.
"Well, the rabbit ran!" said Syrena.
As soon as the maids saw the rabbit running nimbly, the maids in the dining room were busy chasing the rabbit. The state in the dining room was chaotic.
"Let it go! Don't be noisy in the dining room!" Prince Agenor warned the maids. Immediately the maids calmed down and let the rabbit run out of the dining room.
[Useless rabbit!]
Syrena sighed in exasperation and then pursed her lips. Inwardly the brunette princess blamed herself for wishing on a rabbit even though it was clear that the animal would not understand the princess's heart.
"You saw for yourself, right? My lunch has run away! So you have to replace it." The prince said with a heavy breath as he pulled Syrena's body closer.
"My Prince..." said Syrena. She pushed the prince's chest.
[She calls me my prince! Will she seduce me again?]
"Don't get you wrong, My Prince! It's not that I don't want you to bite me, but if you bite me, I'm sure you wouldn't be able to control yourself. After that, I'll faint. Didn't you promise to talk to me after lunch?" said Syrena. She was trying to smile.
The prince watched how Syrena negotiated. The princess knew that the prince was curious about the morning's chaos.
"You're right! You know for sure I can't hold myself. But my lunch has run away. What should I do?" asked Prince Agenor, gripping Syrena tightly.
"Of course, ask the waiter to get another meal for you!" replied Syrena, annoyed.
"But, it's a shame I lost my appetite!"
Syrena's shoulders slumped down. The brunette princess didn't know what to say.
"Just one bite, okay!"
The prince bit Syrena's hand and then sucked her blood without waiting for Syrena's approval. Syrena winced in pain. Her hand unconsciously squeezed the shoulder of the man before her. Her eyes were teary.
"My Prince, please control yourself!" Syrena whispered, winced and was in pain.
Prince Agenor's golden eyes stared at Syrena. For some reason, the brunette princess looked more attractive in the eyes of the prince.
The black-winged man released his bite. Saliva and blood stained his mouth. Syrena took a handkerchief and wiped the prince's lips without being asked.
As they looked at each other, Syrena was silent a moment. She realised that she had become food for her husband. Something she had never thought of before.
"Still want to eat again?" Syrena asked with a blank look.
"No, I think that's enough."
"Are you full?" asked Syrena in surprise.
"Of course not. I want to talk to you right away. Maybe later in the park, there will be some animals I can eat."
After that, Agenor and Syrena left the dining room. They both were silent the whole way. After all, Syrena had nothing to talk about with the prince of Lagardioz.
Syrena arrived at the castle garden. The prince took Syrena to the pond in the middle of the park. In the pond's centre was a statue of a giant gold eagle spreading its wings. Underneath the eagle statue lay a sword and spear.
Syrena stared at the eagle statue as if it was alive.
[impressive.]
The looks in the eagle's eyes were scary and arrogant. Little did Syrena know about the eagle statue. It's one of the famous mythological creatures in Lagardioz. The name was Kheeth. A guardian eagle of Lagardioz who defeated all kingdoms in the Exosialand continent.
Well, Kheeth was a symbol of the kingdom of Lagardioz and enshrined in their flag. In Lagardioz, the eagle was a sacred and revered animal. No one was allowed to kill eagles in Lagardioz. Syrena ever read that the eagle was a common pet for the kings of Lagardioz in the past.
"were you amazed by the statue?" asked the prince.
Syrena turned to look at the prince, who was also staring at the statue of Kheeth.
"Yes," Syrena replied curtly.
"Do you also believe the legend about Kheeth?" asked Agenor again.
Syrena hesitated to say no. The brunette princess was afraid to offend the prince. Because she knew little about Kheeth, she got it from the books in the royal library.
"I do not believe it," said Agenor casually while in front of the sacred statue of Kheeth.
"Why?" Syrena asked curiously.
"To me, Kheeth is just a symbol. We can only obtain real success with strength and perseverance. See how the eagle becomes the strongest flying predator! The eagles were fast and unforgiving."
Syrena was silent, listening to Agenor's words that seemed intimidating. The second prince of Lagardioz subtly reminded Syrena of her position. Well, Ruxenia was indeed just a tiny kingdom. They had to send their best princess to a cruel prince for alliance marriage to protect themselves.
"From Kheeth, I learned to be strong. That's why I trained hard to conquer the entire land of Exosialand. But..."
Syrena wondered what Agenor would say next.
"As I grew up, I realised that I had been wrong. Just being strong is not enough. There is a necessary relationship to get the throne. Also an absolute requirement for a king, namely descent."
Syrena was nervous and looked in some direction. She didn't expect that the talk about Kheeth would end up about bed.
"You must know what I mean." said the prince. He was turned around and grabbed Syrena's shoulders, forcing the princess to look at him.
"This is where my son should be." The black-winged man's hand stroked Syrena's womb.
