Chapter 92 - Chapter 90: Day of a cat

[3rd POV]

Unfortunately for Kaede, things did get worse for Shoto and Miyuki. At first, Miyuki goes out of her way to cause minor inconveniences for Shoto. However, Shoto usually ignores her attempts to aggravate him, but his blatant ignorance hurts Miyuki's pride.

Because of this, her temperament worsened whenever Shoto was in her proximity. She will wait in ambush and pounce on the unsuspecting Shoto, scratching him with her tiny paws before scurrying away while leaving him stunned by the sudden assault.

The only time where there was peace was when Eri visited. Eri finds out about Miyuki and takes the cat everywhere she goes. Knowing that Eri was Kaede's sister, Miyuki wouldn't dare to lay a paw on her, so the cat allowed herself to be carried everywhere.

Miyuki thought she was excelling at protecting her mother, which usually cheered her up for the rest of the day. But to the animal's horror, Kaede and Shoto will spend time together and luckily for her, Shoto doesn't tell Kaede about Miyuki's behaviour.

Miyuki doesn't know that Shoto was doing her a favour, so the kitten was enraged that Shoto was still annoying her mother. Thus, the cat's attack became more severe.

Shoto has no choice but to retaliate with spray bottles and cat nips. he even went as far as to buy a bell collar for Miyuki just so the cat won't be able to sneak up on him. Miyuki was initially unwilling to wear the collar but reluctantly agreed when Kaede thought it was adorable.

Soon, even Miyuki forgot the purpose of the daily skirmish and treated it as a routine between the two.

This goes on for a while, until tonight...

Kaede told Shoto to get the materials for tonight's dinner out of the fridge. He paused and he heard the sound of soft footsteps coming toward him.

Shoto: "Oh, you're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming right to me?"

Miyuki: "Meow..... (I can't beat the sh*t out of you without getting closer....)."

Shoto frowned, and with a swift motion, he whipped out a water pistol he was hiding in his pocket and fired a blast of water at the cat. Miyuki dodged and climbed onto the counter and charged at Shoto. The cat jumped onto his face and she latched tightly like a Facehugger. Shoto panicked and tried to shake the kitten off.

Twenty minutes later...

Kaede's head popped around the corner, "Hey Shoto-kun, is the chicken defrosted ye....." a chicken leg smacked Kaede straight on the forehead.

Kaede looked at the mess all over the kitchen and suddenly had an irresistible urge to punch someone. Shoto and Miyuki were holding each other by the throat when they both felt an insane killing intent as the room temperature dropped a few degrees.

"Ara ara, what do we have here?" Shoto and Miyuki heard a voice calling out to them.

Their face turned pale as Kaede smiled and clenched her fist.

"Kaede, wait, I can..."

"What's there needed to explain?" She cuts Shoto off

"Meow", Miyuki tried to act cute and rubbed her face against Kaede's leg.

However, the cat yelped when her mother lifted her by the scruff of her neck: "Acting sweet won't save you this time...." Kaede grinned and cracked her fist, and the two troublemakers shivered in fear.....

Some beatings later.....

"Meow..."

"I'm sorry...."

Shoto and Miyuki apologised profusely. Kaede gave the two of them a severe scolding, forcing them to clean up their mess. This was the first time Miyuki had seen her mother that fierce, and she was on the verge of tears. That day, Miyuki learned that her mother never needed protection, and she was superior to that idiot human this entire time!

Shoto and Miyuki have a truce, ending the war and Class 1-A's Height Alliance Dorm finally has peace.

A few Days Later...

Shoto and Miyuki have stopped fighting, and Miyuki now has nothing to do. All the students had left for work-study, so Miyuki spent her day just lazing around, exploring the house's perimeter or playing with Koji's pet bunny.

Today was typical; Miyuki went to her usual spot to lie down and enjoy the sun's warmth. However, Miyuki was unusually bored; she got up and decided to sleep on Kaede's bed instead.

Miyuki entered Kaede's room. Thanks to Kaede, she purposely left her door not fully closed so Miyuki could go into Kaede's room whenever she could. Miyuki jumped on Kaede's chair and climbed onto her desk. There were many things on Kaede's desk, such as papers, pens, books and scrolls, so Miyuki tried her best to avoid her mother's belongings.

Miyuki squealed in surprise when her tail accidentally spilled a small ink bottle, and her paws were covered with the black sticky liquid. Miyuki was startled by the ink as she walked around the desk, leaving paw prints on Kaede's scroll. Suddenly, on one of the scrolls, letters start to appear and form intricate patterns.

Miyuki saw this and was bewildered. She noticed that she had left a black paw mark right in the middle, which must be how these patterns appeared.

Miyuki meowed sadly that she had ruined her mother's things. With the mere thought of Kaede, she felt weird and raised her head in agitation. Without warning, Miyuki burst into a cloud of smoke and disappeared.

[Kaede POV]

"You're all under arrest!" I threatened the group of bank robbers in front of me.

It was supposed to be an ordinary patrol with my onii-chan until this group of villains decided to rob a bank! Onii-chan and I chased the thieves to an abandoned warehouse, and it turned out there were more of them waiting in ambush.

Both onii-chan and I had our Sharingan activated as we glared at the villains. We both unsheathed our katana and got into our fighting stance.

*Poof*

A slight smoke cloud appeared above us; we were wary, thinking it was an attack. However, my jaw fell to the floor when Miyuki fell out of the cloud of smoke and landed on my head.

"Meow??" Miyuki sounded surprised as she sat on my head and looked around.

"Miyuki?? What are you doing here?" I picked her up.

My cat meowed and licked my hand with affection.

"Watch out!" Itachi onii-chan warned; I glanced up and dodged as a long scorpion tail pierced the spot I was previously standing. I clicked my teeth, and Miyuki hissed at the attacker.

"Listen, Miyuki; I'm going to send you into my Kamui Dimension, okay? So please be patient, but I will get to you soon once it is all done." I explained.

Miyuki cried out in the complaint. However, it was still in vain as I quickly stored Miyuki in my Kamui Dimension. Once she was in, I put my attention back on the fight.

"Now, let's battle!" I declared with a smile.

Itachi-onii-chan also smiled and both of us summoned our Susanoo.

Ten minutes of beating later.....

Onii-chan and I put handcuffs on all the robbers; I relaxed and took Miyuki out of my Kamui Space. Miyuki trembled and rubbed her face against mine. I chuckled and patted her: "Sorry, you must go through that."

My cat meowed in response, and I could tell she was pouting at me: "By the way, onii-chan, how did Miyuki get here?"

"Hmmm, Miyuki must have become your summoning animal...." Itachi-onii-chan thought for a while before concluding.

"Meow..."

"Huh? Weird Paper?"

"Meow..."

"Then, before you know it, you got sent here?"

Miyuki nodded, and I remembered requesting a summoning scroll from mom! Miyuki must have accidentally formed a contract with me. Mom told me that to form a contract, the animal and the person must write down their name with a particular type of ink fused with Chakra on a special scroll, and I recalled leaving those two exact items on my desk! I have already done all the procedures on my end, and I was planning to ask Miyuki for her opinion, but who would've thought she accepts the contract herself?

The summoner can summon the animal with a drop of the user's blood and scroll; the animal doesn't need to do that. The animals could freely teleport to the user's location if they held the contract scroll, so it was imperative not to lose the contract.

"Wait, how can I understand you??" I said and stared at Miyuki, who cutely tilted her head. I'm entirely baffled, but luckily, onii-chan was there to answer my question.

"A summoning animal will be linked with the summoner, and they were able to project their thoughts onto each other. But since Miyuki was still young, she won't be able to form complex sentences yet, but you will still be able to understand her somewhat."

"In time, you will be able to communicate with her telepathically and able to see what Miyuki sees."

I nodded to my onii-chan's explanation and cuddled with Miyuki: "What do you say? Are you happy to be my summoning animal?"

Miyuki purred in happiness, and she yawned tiredly and immediately fell asleep in my arms.

I smiled but also slightly winced when I remembered that I needed to clean the spill Miyuki had made on my desk...

I hope you enjoy it!
