Kiera stood up, unable to contain her rage. Her face was red with anger. She was well aware of who Ruby was and never liked her. If Zane had not promised her to keep her safe from any harm, she wouldn't have hesitated to kick her out of the pack.
"You, maid, don't cross your limit. Do you have any idea what you are saying? You are accusing Eleanor. Zane can throw you into the dungeon for this offense."
The joy in Ruby's heart vanished instantly. She looked up at her incredulously, finding it difficult to believe that Kiera was backing up Eleanor, Zane's mistress.
'Is she for real?' Ruby wondered inwardly.
She shuddered in the face of rage in her eyes. She lowered her chin. She wouldn't be imprisoned in the dungeon when her mission was still incomplete.
