Ruby was saddened to learn that Kiera was Zane's mate. Deep in her heart, she still desired to be with him. This desire increased when Eleanor went missing. With her current condition, she knew she would never be able to be his girlfriend again. Yet, she assumed that someday she would be able to win him back. Her wish, however, was dashed by the recent revelation. So, she swallowed the bitterness of her heart.
'Kiera is better than Eleanor.'
Ruby believed Eleanor would never come back to the pack if Zane mated with Kiera. She had always desired to drive her out of the Moon Keepers and Zane's life. Finally, it was going to be true. Sadly, she was not the woman beside him. But she was still relieved, thinking that it was not Eleanor.
