Connor passed out from the torture. When he finally woke up, it was dawn. A guard came in and splashed a cold bucket of water on him.
"Uh…" He gasped and then coughed. The water was so cold that the chill penetrated his bones and burned his fresh wounds. This incident reminded him of torturing Zane in this manner every morning.
The guards used to beat Zane up at night and wake him up by splashing him with cold water. Everything was returning to him. This infuriated him even more.
"Don't throw me water," he yelled, glaring furiously at the guard. "I am the alpha of this pack. Be respectful. Or else, you will die once I get out of here."
The guard chuckled and gave him a mocking stare. He walked out without saying anything and shut the door behind him.
