Ethel went to find Damien in his office, agitated to hear that he had found his mate. She stormed in without knocking and found him conversing with his beta. Damien glared at her, and she didn't care.
She was upset as well and wanted some answers.
Damien had never tolerated anyone else's arrogance, especially women. He was tolerating her only because of his selfish motive. He signaled his beta to leave with a nod.
The beta bowed to him and left.
"I don't like it when someone disturbs me at work," Damien said in a warning tone. "It irritates me whenever someone walks into my office without knocking. Don't do it again." He gave her a menacing look, implying that he would not hesitate to punish her if she repeated it.
Ethel didn't cower under his fierce glare. She approached him and retorted, "I am upset, and I want some clarification."
"Clarification!"
