The party lasted until late at night. The pack members returned to their homes, as did many of the guests from neighboring packs, while several others from faraway packs stayed at the packhouse.
After arranging the rooms for the guests, Lucas went to find Zane. He ran into the woods, tracking his scent, which led him to the tree house.
"Zane…"
Zane, who had just dozed off on the bed, woke up with a start when he heard Lucas' voice. He sat up in a daze, wondering if he had heard him in his dream.
"Where are you?"
He heard him yell again and realized it was not a hallucination.
"Coming." He got up and walked down to the treehouse.
