"This is so beautiful", i told Hunter even though i knew he couldn't respond. "Not as beautiful as you", i turned quickly to see the guy from the club. Hunter stood in protective stance, making the guy smile. "Ooh come on Tan, learn to enjoy a complement will ya!", i was still confused. "What are you doing here? what do you want?", i asked with my hand resting on Hunter's fluffy neck making him calm. "Well my lady, my name is Victor and am the right hand to the Vampire Alpha, We are here on official business and i was just enjoying the view when i heard you talking to you mute mate", the last comment made Hunter growl. "It must be hard to not be able to communicate with your human now isn't it Tan?", he remained silent. "Victor, you look like an amazing guy so can you be a darling and just let us enjoy our moment? I had a really long day", i decided to be nice because killing a Vampire leader was not going to be good for us. "Yes i have heard, congratulations on you new business", "Thank you Victor, now do you mind?", i was getting impatient and am glad he figured and walked away. I was sure that he was far enough when Hunter relaxed and sat down. I lay on his tummy and enjoyed the breeze.
Things have been busier at the flower shop and Tan's work got more chaotic, sometimes he had to travel with the King to go resolve disputes and they were also having secret meetings with the humans who wanted Tan's team to help them with the wars that they were facing. The Vampire Alpha was also requesting the same because they were having issues with hunters in their territories and they were being out numbered so it was a busy life. I was grateful for it because even though he was busy, he always made time for us whenever he could.

"We are behaving, how is business?", "It's doing great, no complains", "So i need your help, we are hosting a ball this weekend to promote unity it will be a mixture of races and i wanted you to supply the flowers to use for decorations, is it possible", "yes! oh am sorry, yes we can do that", i urged myself to contain my control making her laugh. "Ok then, see you then", she said and left.

I was nervous i have never seen him in his warrior armour before. When i entered the ball room with an exciting Arthur. He was awesome company he told me who was who and let me tell you these guys were full of power and that made me even more curious because if Arthur didn't tell me i would just think am in hollywood. We went to sit at the bar where i ordered a martini and Arthur a glass of whiskey. He did a scan of where we were sitting and that's how i knew he picked a spot where he was able to see all the corners properly. I saw Jessy and Madison from a far but they were in their uniforms with serious faces on, only Arthur had a suit.
The King and Queen entered the ball room looking amazing and neat as usual and my eyes just went behind them, Tan had his hair long in the middle and very short on the sides with three lines passing on the sided, it took me a few minutes to get my hormones in control his uniform was black with some silver lines crossing here and there he looked bigger or it was just my imagination. His eyes found mine for a brief moment then he went back to looking forward. The King made his speech and announced the commencement of the ball. I saw a couple of women approach Tan and he stood there like a statue each giving up after a few minutes making me smile. I turned to focus on my drink when i heard a few Vampire women talk about him. "He is a very powerful man and you know what that means right?", "Of course honey a ticket to being the power couple, imagine, you will be friends with the King and Queen too", they were so stupid but one thing i have discovered is that their stupidity was very dangerous, look where it got me with Andra. I took a sip and ignored them.
