CHAPTER 1: A damsel in distress
It's a drizzling evening. The road is slippery and wet, no cars are seen passing this particular road as it is narrow and has bushes aligned at the sides. A young girl in her early twenties is running helplessly on the road as she makes staggering movements.
She is adorning blue jeans and a crop top with slim hands while she holds her coat in her hand. Her hair is drenched in the rain as she uses her fingers to push them back from her face which blocked her view.
A car passes by as she stretches out her hand to stop the driver but the person behind the wheel doesn't stop. She felt helpless but didn't give up as she continued in a half run and half walk. She hears a rumbling noise in the bushes behind her as she turns to look.
"Stop!" A masculine voice thundered at her as it sounded a bit far away. She breaks into a run but her legs are too weak to carry her.
