In the western region of Aether, there was a settlement designated for safe travels to the Downworld, it was called Pipeline. Many large transparent pipes were connected to a vast container that was continually filtering the properties of the toxic Downworld air. In the centre of this settlement was a gaping hole wide enough to accommodate a vertical pipe 300 metres wide. Within this main transparent duct were a variety of elevator tubes leading downwards through the dense Cloud Butterflies and into the Downworld.
Currently, Pipeline was being occupied by a smuggling ring of merchants who transported rare valuables to and from the Downworld. They had their people coming out and going in the elevator tubes. These specific affiliates of Pipeline were clothed in yellow containment suits. They took extra precautions when traversing the Downworld.
