Chereads / Harry Potter: Red Weasley The Strange Red Wizard / Chapter 111 - Chapter 108: Campaigns

Chapter 111 - Chapter 108: Campaigns

Hogwarts... my room... in the morning...

Today there is much to do, three important things. First, go to the centaur camp to see how the unicorn is doing. Second, see Penelope and talk about yesterday. Third, find the Ravenclaw crown. The room with all the requirements is almost empty and I have already located where it would be, I just need to go... I must also see if I can complete some transactions as Tenebrius, but that is left for later.

It was very early in the morning and Penelope wouldn't wake up yet, so let's save that for later. I'll go for the crown tonight. Then we go to the forbidden forest.

...

The forest path was quiet. Although I had the travel point due to my ability, I didn't use it as it would be impolite to show up at the camp out of the blue and without warning, plus they might shoot me with their bows before I can explain myself. The good thing is that I will be able to explore the forest a little more.

I was walking calmly when another skill prompt appeared in front of me, only this one wasn't like the usual ones either and was more like the alignment one.

'What the hell is up with these walks in the woods?'

>The [Campaign Menu] has been unlocked<

That notice disappeared and in front of me a big screen appeared where an ancient scroll with the world drawn on it was displayed, and, on the top, it had written. It was all a projection, it wasn't a real scroll and only I could see it.

The map was quite complete, with well-defined lines and gray colors in different shades to demarcate water, land, or graphics. It wasn't completely empty, as there were some drawings and, to the right, outside the map, was a small vertically placed rectangular screen where some data appeared but was currently empty.

I focused on looking at Great Britain on the map as that was where I currently resided and was able to find something. Where Hogwarts was, was a drawing of the castle and when I focused, it disappeared and a different picture appeared.

The drawing was that of a pedestal in the shape of a Greco-Roman column, on which a brilliant crystalline stone floated. Behind the pedestal, you could see the vague image of a mirror and in front of it was a small but long scroll with the words on it.

Looking at the screen on the right, I could see some new information that appeared after the map change.

[Main Campaign: Harry Potter]

-Chapters (1/7)-

-Current chapter: (1) Philosopher's Stone-

Description: Accompany the boy who lived his school life at Hogwarts, experience the second wizarding war of modern times, and witnessed the return and fall of the Dark Lord 'Voldemort'.

Looking back at the campaign screen, I noticed that if I clicked on the chapters section, a list of the other chapters was displayed. Also, there were also a couple of arrows on the drawing of the map, up and down, which were also in charge of changing the chapter, only that the following drawings looked much more opaque and the parchment in front of them said

They were moving drawings, either a simple swing or a complete action like the one in school paintings or magical photos. Very pleasing to the eye and entertaining.

The drawing of the secret chamber was a wall full of pipes in which the shadow of a snake could be seen. Prisoner of Azkaban was a mini version of the castle, with cloaks floating across the sky and a large full moon. The Goblet of Fire was literally a burning goblet. The order of the phoenix had a crystal ball on a cushion, and a phantom phoenix emerged from it. Half-Blood Prince was an old book on a potion's table that would open and show pictures of young wizards. The deathly hallows were the three relics scattered on a ruined wall.

Leaving Scotland, I looked at what else was out there and I saw that in the England part there was also a particular drawing. By focusing on Devon, I could see how a drawing of the Burrow appeared, only this one was more colorful and the scrolls that functioned as indicators were written in gold instead of the previous black.

At the top of the burrow was the scroll that said and at the bottom one that said . I clicked to see if there was any description and to my right, the tutorial screen appeared with several names scrolled down.

-Potter

-Weasley(Completed)

-Granger

...

-Lovegood

-Chang

...

-Dumbledore

-Prince

...

Seeing the endless list of names, I couldn't help but be surprised and, thanks to [Help], I could understand more about what was happening. Each of these was possible origins, set to be the tutorial from birth to age 11. There were names of many families both known and unknown, magical and non-magical, there was even the [Create] option.

Each origin seemed to have some advantages and disadvantages. I inspected what he had in the [Weasley] family and learned that it could turn out to be part of Ron's family or another family further afield. In the description it said.

/-------/

[Weasley]

► (↑)+15 relationship with members of the Weasley family

► (↑) Reputation with half Bloods +

► (↑) Reputation with Gryffindor +

► (↓) Reputation with Pure Bloods -

► (↓) Poverty

Unlocked Base: "The Burrow"

/-------/

I couldn't help but wonder what each of the other possible tutorials would bring, least of all why this one was selected by default, or if it was random... I left the tutorials, since at this point they were of no use to me, nothing more to give me more questions. I would see it later when I had more time, now I would return to the map.

As I was about to spread out across the rest of the map, another ad appeared, only this one came from within the map, with a different font and style than I was used to.

[DLC: "Past Stories" has been acquired]

Campaign: "The Cursed Vaults" Acquired

Campaign: "The Marauders" Acquired

Campaign: "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" Acquired

Campaign: "Origins of a Dark Lord" Acquired

After that warning, several points of light appeared all over the map. Watching them, I could notice how 4 of them remained illuminated, while the others dimmed. At the same time, a new [Campaigns] button appeared at the top of the description screen.

Selecting it brought up another list and scrolled down. In the first place was the already known [Harry Potter] in a big gold box with the description given above and a big title

Below was the rest of the list with another silver box that said

-Past stories: The Marauders

Selecting it on the map brought up a timeline at the bottom and moved back slightly. I went to where Hogwarts was, and the castle was still there, but once I sectioned it, instead of the pedestal appearing with the stone, the image of a rat, a wolf, a dog, and a deer, running appeared.

-Past stories: Fantastic beasts and where to find them

This time I moved to the United States and there appeared the image of a suitcase that did not stop moving as if it were trying to open. This one also had some arrows like in the main campaign to change chapters, but they were blocked, so I moved on to the next one.

-Past Stories: Origins of a Dark Lord

This time he moved towards the north of Europe and there an image appeared, it was a shadow of a young wizard with his wand in front of him, surrounded by a circle of fire.

-Past Stories: The Cursed Vaults

We went back to England and Hogwarts appeared, but in front of it, there were 5 different big doors.

These were all the things I obtained, that were written in colors on the list of expansions, but there were also a lot of other dull pictures and names on the list that was still gray.

-The 4 Founders (Locked: Requires "Ancient Times" DLC)

The timeline went back a lot, and the map layout and details also seemed to go back in time. It was still in England, the same place as Hogwarts, but the drawing was of four shadows instead of the castle.

-Tales of Camelot (Locked: Requires "Ancient Times" DLC)

England, An ancient city, and in the distance a tall tower whose roof seemed to be covered with stars.

-The Fruits of Alchemy (Locked: Requires "Ancient Times" DLC)

In France, with a man with a floating stone on a cauldron, identical to the one on the pedestal of the philosopher's stone.

-Fox's Secret (Locked: Requires "Eastern Mysteries" DLC)

Japan, with a many-tailed fox on a fallen tree.

-The Immortal Army (Locked: Requires "Eastern Mysteries" DLC)

China, with an ancient palace and several terracotta warriors.

-The Nagas (Locked: Requires "Eastern Mysteries" DLC)

Thailand, there was a deep sea with a dark whirlpool in the center.

-The Pharaoh's Tomb (Locked: Requires "Winds of the Desert" DLC)

Egypt, a great pyramid under the sun and various priests around it

...

-Harry Potter/Movies (Locked: Requires "Parallel Worlds" DLC)

Hogwarts, the movie covers

...

Several extra campaigns, but all are blocked. I had no idea how to acquire them... 'Would I have to pay to get the extra content?'

Ignoring that, I kept using [Help] to better understand what this campaign was like, and with it, I discovered that each and every one of them could have been the main campaign and the other secondary ones.

First, a campaign is established as a base and becomes the main world, while all the others will be minor worlds around it. Since I had the [Harry Potter] campaign, I received the DLC: Past Stories as a gift, and something similar would have happened with any other.

From the main campaign, I can carry out the extra campaigns, going to temporary worlds, which are worlds created just for the campaign. The world starts exactly from the beginning of the campaign to its end and then restarts again from the starting point, there is nothing before or after. The only world that could be categorized as 'complete' is the one in the main campaign.

The extra campaigns do not affect the main one but it is possible to obtain some benefits from those worlds such as magic, objects, or even characters. In these worlds, you can start with a new temporary character or load an existing one, but there may be limitations.

There's also the restriction that you can't use these outer worlds to develop outside the main story, as despite being able to keep the memories of what you do in them, the knowledge to some degree will be sealed and rage releasing over time equal to twice what I lasted in the campaign. That is, if you take 2 years to complete the campaign, it will be over 4 years before you fully receive the knowledge acquired within it.

This was very important, a lot to take in. Now I was feeling that my life was really becoming more and more like a game. I think my request was more than I expected. Not long after I closed the map to think, two new notices appeared.

[Miscellaneous Auxiliaries: "Characters" Acquired]

[Miscellaneous Helpers: "Settings Menu" Acquired]

This trip has been weirder than expected with the amount of stuff I'm seeing.

The [settings menu] is just as it sounds. I can modify the sound and the image as if I were setting up a video game, among other things. Apparently, this only affects my perception and not that of others... or at least they don't realize it. The only useful thing about this would be to turn up the volume when I'm half deaf or turn up the lighting when I'm in dark places.

There was also an option to change the difficulty but it was stuck with the message 'Cannot change difficulty in-game' and I don't plan on dying to check it so it will stay that way. Another interesting thing is that the skill [Subtitles] was integrated with it.

On the other hand, the [characters] skill is a kind of screen where all the people and/or places I've ever met are in rectangular boxes, one below the other. In them there was a photo, if I had seen the individual and/or place, data such as name, sex, age, etc... Depending on the circumstances, the boxes changed to a greater or lesser extent.

Garrick Rotenrot had his name written in red as if he were an enemy, followed by a skull, and his portrait was crossed out with a large x.

Tonks and Gemma had a pink box and a heart next to their name, while girls like Pansy, although they didn't have a pink background, still had a heart next to it.

My family members also had a yellow ribbon symbol.

Gringotts had a safe next to the name

The merchant, the Archmage, Olivanders, and the like had a picture of a bag of gold coins, among other things.

There were some more differences in some people, but they were few. Most of them had a common black background with whitish letters.

This was a very interesting way of storing information, especially when I was able to see different sides of some people. For example, I had the Tonks(bubblegum pink) and Tonks(Normal) versions and in the future, with the growth or change of the characters, the information will be saved with images of the different stages.
