#Chapter 67 (Arina) – An Old Friend Returns
“You’re sure somebody saw you?” Jonathan asked as I paced around the living room.
Emee was laying on her playmat on the floor as she cooed excitedly.
“Yes,” I told him. “There was no doubt about it. It was another wolf. They didn’t want me to see them.”
“Do you think it was one of Rock’s people?” Jonathan asked, he was growing worried as well.
“I don’t know,” I admitted. “Possibly.”
“I’m not going to stick around to find out,” Jonathan said, shooting to his feet from the couch.
I narrowed my eyes at him.
“What are you planning on doing?” I asked.
“Putting a stop to his bullshit,” he said as he stormed towards the front door.
Before I could protest to him just barging into Rock’s house and starting something with him, as soon as he pulled the door open, he was stopped by a small figure that stood there wide-eyed. Her mouth dropped open as she stared between Jonathan and me, trying to comprehend what was happening.
