Devin woke up when it was still dark outside. Peacefully sleeping beside him, Eve helped him forget about everything else. He got out of bed and walked over to the window. There was a table and a pitcher of water by the window. He quickly filled up the glass with water and drank it. Devin glanced out the window and noticed someone standing across the road, right in front of Reed's house. Devin's clothes flew in the air, but he quickly grabbed them and rushed into the room.
When he got closer to where the creature had been, it wasn't there anymore. He circled Reed's house several times, but he found it nowhere.
"Dang, it got away again," Devin growled.
When Emy saw Maria enter the house, she quickly came downstairs from the second floor. She seemed disappointed because it was 3 in the morning.
"Maria?" Emy spoke up.
Maria went straight up to Emy. "Emy, why get out of bed in the morning?"
