"Are you all right, Avery? You've been acting nervous for a long time now," Jasmin said to her friend when she arrived.
Avery had been uneasy ever since Reed's father arrived. She continued to squeeze her katana and blow some air.
"I'm just fine, Jasmin."
"Are you sure? You're behaving strangely."
Avery gave a little grin. "A shaman behaves this way when confronted with or near a demon," Avery said. "I have the same feelings for Sir Reed and Sir Damon."
"I don't believe so. You feel more at ease when you're among the two men."
"I'll just go outside to catch my breath," Avery said as she rose and exited the home.
Emy witnessed Avery's departure and approached Jasmin when she was nursing the baby.
"She felt uneasy about Sir Reed's father," Jasmin said. "She went out to breathe."
"Could you please hold Alex first?" Emy said, "I'll simply go after Avery."
