Chapter 2 - Back to the past

"ANNA!"

Adam shouted with all his might, his tears drenched her dress, her cheeks tinted red for a moment but that was all it was a moment.

Her fist slammed into his nose with the power of her punch enough to send him flying across the field.

"You indecent bastard, touching a lady like that, do you have a death wish"Anna shouted, her cheeks still painted red from blush.

There was no response from Adam, he remained immobile on the ground with nothing but a smile on his, he didn't care about the punch but after seeing everything back to normal, not exactly back to normal

'Wait but why am I so young, was everything that happened just a bad dream, no that preposterous, I am sure that was reality at least it was my former present but now I have a chance to Change my future '

Meanwhile, Anna was worried that she killed Adam, he hadn't moved in a while, she was already at the entrance to sainthood while Adam was still a novice, using so much of her power could have killed him.

Adam got up from the ground, his nose was fractured and bleeding but the only thing, he did was smile, it had been so long since he smiled that feeling felt foreign to him.

"A-Adam, are you okay"She stuttered noticing his condition, he didn't seem to be in any pain but that was what worried her, he should be in extreme pain, now she wasn't worried about his death but his mental conditions.

'Did I punch him to hard that he lost his mind' She thought.

"I FEEL GREAT!" Adam shouted, his words scared the birds in the vicinity causing them to fly away into the distance.

Before Adam had become the man he was, he actually lived quite a humble quiet life, he didn't rule kingdoms neither did he have armies but he was just a simple villager.

Adam ran towards his village, everything was exactly how he remembered peaceful, quiet and calm, people here were like family.

He had finally reached his childhood home, his little cousins were still playing around like usual, causing trouble and disturbing the neighbors.

"Adam!"His two little cousins exclaimed , he had made them both live with him in the castle, Adam could remember the gruesome scene of them being impaled and hanged up like trophies by Vormatu.

His spine shivered at the thought, this two little boys would die in the most horrible way and he could do nothing but watch.

"I promise will change your future"Adam muttered.

"Huh, Adam what did you say" One of his Cousins said confused by the inaudible words leaving his mouth.

"Nothing Luke" Adam said while he patted the little boy's head, his clothes were tainted with brown from dirt he played with and there was a vacant space in were his two upper middle teeth were supposed to be.

Their names were Luke and Peter, both their parents had died in a disease outbreak a few years ago, there were now his responsibility since he was their only family left, and they were his.

"You rats stop playing around in the dirt, it not like you wash your own clothes so stop adding more work to my plate"

Both his hands balled up into a tight fists and slammed it down on Luke and Peter head, both screamed in pain

"Argh!, Grandma, Adam is attacking us again" Both said simultaneously making their voices echo through the air

"You idi_" Adam stopped his words for a moment as a sweet divine aroma entered into his nostrils, no words could describe it scent, it was otherworldly, heavenly and exquisite, he had never smelt any thing so unique before, it made his stomach ache in pain as all he wanted was to devour this meal.

"Who cooking such a meal, it smells wonderful" Adam asked curiously, both boys stared at him oddly for some reason.

"Nobody, grandma has stayed in her room all day" Luke replied to Adam, he was the older of the two, Adam had met everybody important to him so far except from his grandma and Logan.

"I see, I will go check up on her then"Adam walked into his old home, the feeling of nostalgia quickly set in, he could see glimpses of the past everywhere he looked, it had been so long since he had seen any of their faces.

' This place is more horrible than I remember, I wonder how I managed to survive here' Adam said inwardly, he slowly walked towards his grandma room taking in every single inch of the room, everything was like how he remembered, the dirty old rug, the squealing of rats hiding beneath the couch and the dead plant that stayed beside the window, his home was quite unpleasant.

Yet he didn't care at the moment about his surroundings to much, the smell of before invaded his nostrils causing him to salivate, his body craved the source of this scent, this otherworldly unique smell was way beyond the aroma of any famous cuisine.

"I don't remember Grandma ever having a kitchen in her room" Adam got closer to the brown door of his grandma room, the smell only grew stronger as it ravaged his ability to think clearly, his nose led him forward to the cause of this delectable scent, he swung the door open with tremendous force he never knew he possesed at the stage of his life.

And instead of finding a buffet of multiple exquisite meals, the delicious aroma led him to an old frail lady, probably in her late 80s, her gray hair was tied into a bundle behind her and wrinkles were all around her face.

The sound of sobs escaped her wrinkled lips and her tears watered the floor beneath, a sad sight that would cause the most cold-hearted to feel bad at the state of this fragile woman.

This sight was like a fire, a fire which lit up the dormant rage within Adam, the woman was a herbalist, she had knowledge in magic but didn't necessarily practice it, if she did, her body would shiver in fright if she sensed all the demonic aura exploding out of Adam body.

His hands balled up into fists as his irises momentarily flashed red faster than what what the human eye could see.

"WHO MADE YOU CRY!?"
