The cold air pierced the bones, Aneska had woken up early in the morning and even the sun from the eastern horizon had not yet appeared.
That morning Aneska helped her mother who was getting ready to go to the market. Deliberately leaving early to catch shoppers who usually shop in the morning.
After tying the vegetables into several bundles that she bought yesterday at Pak Sugeng, Aneska arranges the vegetables in baskets that her mother will sell at the market later.
"Have you tied the vegetables into small pieces?" Her mother asked.
"Yes," answered Aneska.
"Then I'll just go, want to ride a neighbor's car who also brings vegetables to the market," said Mother lifting her vegetable basket.
"Yes, ma'am. Be careful, I'm early today. Maybe I'll be back a bit late because there are additional subjects at school," said Aneska.
"Yeah, just keep the house key in the usual place so Mom won't have a hard time finding it."
"Yes," answered Aneska.
After that, Mother then went outside, through the cold morning wearing her favorite knitted sweater.
Aneska immediately cleaned the kitchen which was littered with vegetables that were not used because they were damaged. After that, take a shower to get ready to go to school.
After finishing breakfast with potluck fried rice, Aneska went to school by first locking the door.
With her favorite bicycle, every morning Aneska goes to school along the highway, which stretches to the right and left of green rice fields stretching as far as the eye can see.
A gentle wind played with her long hair which was always tied up to make it easier for her to do activities. The fresh air in the morning felt cool touching her clean white skin.
Even though Aneska lives in the countryside, her face is not like a normal village girl's. Aneska has a face that is more like a foreigner's because there are many stories from her neighbors that her father has a handsome face like a foreigner with white skin and a sharp nose.
His mother once told me that his father was a smart man, the name she used now was the name his father gave him. But his father was entangled in a forbidden love with a woman who had everything, so he had the heart to leave his mother and himself who at that time was very small.
His father was about to take him away but his mother defended him with all his might, so his father could not take him with him to another city with his new wife.
Aneska is never ashamed to be born into a simple family she is proud to have a mother who struggled to raise her wholeheartedly. The love that his mother gives, exceeds the love of having complete parents.
Aneska never felt the loss of a father because her mother poured all forms of love on her.
After a long journey, Aneska finally arrived at the school. It seems that the schoolyard has started to get crowded with students who are joking.
Aneska immediately entered the bicycle parking area. It seemed to him that Laras' bicycle was parked. "The barrel has come," she muttered.
After she finished parking his bicycle someone called his name from behind.
"Aneska!" A male voice called out to him.
Aneska turned her body because the voice that called her was familiar to her ears. "Damar."
"Just arrived?" Damar asked kindly looking at Aneska who seemed to be blushing.
"Yes," replied Aneska smiling, trying to get rid of her nervousness because Damar is a student council president who is liked by many students.
"Then let's go to class together," said Damar.
"But our class is different," Aneska replied.
"It's okay, I will take you to class after that I go to mine," said Damar smiling.
Aneska smiled, her eyes sparkling. "Come on."
Damar and Aneska then walked together past several groups of students who didn't seem happy with their company.
Aneska could see out of the corner of her eye that several students were sneering at her but she didn't care.
After passing through several classrooms, Aneska and Damar finally arrived at the class. "Thank you Damar for taking me," said Aneska shyly.
"It's okay, I'm just passing through, my class is not far from here," replied Damar looking around the class that seemed still empty.
Laras, who is sitting in his chair, looks serious watching Aneska and Damar who are talking.
"There seems to be a smell of romance in this class!" Said Laras but looked the other way.
Aneska and Damar looked at Laras who was not looking at them and resumed their conversation.
"Looks like someone's in love in this class!!" She chirps again but by looking the other way again.
Aneska looked back at Laras who was looking outside. "Who was she talking to?" Ask Aneska to Damar.
"I don't know, it looks like she's making fun of us." Damar saw Laras.
Aneska smiled, feeling funny about her friend's behavior.
"Why?" Damar asked seeing Aneska smiling to herself.
"No, it's funny how Laras makes fun of us when we're nothing."
Damar looked at Aneska. "If what Laras said is true, what do you think?" Damar asked with a suddenly serious face.
Aneska stared at Damar stunned, what Damar said indirectly already said that she liked him.
"What do you mean?" Ask Aneska pretending not to understand.
Damar did not answer. "Forget what I just said. I'm going to class, the bell will ring soon."
"Yes, please." Aneska was a little disappointed because Damar didn't want to extend his point.
Damar immediately went from Aneska's class to her class.
Laras saw that Damar had left and immediately approached Aneska who had just sat down.
"Are you guys dating or still approaching?" She asked curiously.
"Not both," replied Aneska, fixing her hair tie.
"Lies, I can see it from the way you look at each other. You guys are like people who are dating," said Laras.
"No one's dating! We're just friends. Don't make accusations." Aneska defends herself.
"Then why are you two together?"
"We met in the parking lot, he was parking his motorbike and I parked the bike. Then we came here together because of one direction. That's the story," Aneska explained everything.
"I thought you guys were dating. Damar is the student council president, besides being handsome, he's also smart. His parents are also quite well-known in the next village."
"Your mind is all over the place, take care of your girlfriend. Why take care of other men? I'll tell you how it feels," said Aneska.
"Don't, my relationship will fall apart later. You snitch!" Laras protested with pouting lips.
Aneska laughed. "So if you already have a boyfriend, don't praise other men. If you get caught, you'll just cry."
"But now I'm annoyed with him, the game is more important than me."
