Roxy was in utter shock after what she heard. She was not human?! What in the world was the meaning of that?
"W-what do you...mean?"She asked queen Evilyn stuttering and her eyes wide.
"Come with me." Her ever so calm and pure voice reverberated . Eva and Roxy followed the queen as she led them to a library. And again,the place felt so magical like it belonged to fairies. The ceiling was ...Was it a cloud?That library simply felt like it was taken out from an image made by an AI.
Queen Evilyn lifted both her hands, and the ceiling cloud turned into a virtual screen. Images of a queen holding a baby, and a king appeared.
"These are your parents." Queen Evilyn's voice echoed. "Your parents Queen Mariah and King Ryan of Wintermore, where admired and loved by everyone. Not only in Wintermore, but also in other kingdoms especially Ascaria." As she spoke, images of her parents scrolled on the screen.
"They maintained peace in several kingdoms but the ghosts. They never wanted peace. "
"The ghosts?" Roxy asked.
"The ghosts we can't really explained what they are. But Tanya and Kayden where once enemies of both of your parents and other kingdoms as well. Your parents along with me and the other queens and kings defeated them. But little did we know that we just killed them in flesh and bones but not their souls. When we discovered that, it was too late. They already managed to get their revenge. They killed your mother.And they were slowly trying to kill your father too.But their aim was to take you because of the extraordinary powers you possess. Your father imprisoned your powers deep inside your soul, and brought you to the human world with a necklace and your name engraved in it and a picture of you three."Roxy touched her neck. She always had that necklace with her. She never wanted to be away from it.
"And when he came back, he saved us all but he couldn't save himself." Queen Evilyn stopped and took a deep breath before proceeding.
"We mourned your parents'death and tried to avenge them but the ghosts ran away and we never found them again. Until now. My husband and I have always been tracking them but I had no trace of them until the past four years. You being a celebrity was both a good and a bad thing. It was good because you helped me finally find my son and you, the person who can help us save ourselves and the other kingdoms, but also a bad thing because now Kayden and Tanya found you and that is why all of that happened to you. You being always stuck by Marcus' side was a problem to them."
Realisation strucked Roxy and she looked at the queen and Eva her mouth widely open and her eyes almost coming out from their orbes.
"You know?!"
"We do know." Eva said. "Marcus did made a mistake."
"A very big one beyond repair." Queen Evilyn took over. "And we do understand, I DO understand if you never forgive him. But that sextape and the pictures were created by them."
"He ruined my life." Roxy said chocking, a tear rolling down her cheeks."I am the one suffering right now. Not him. In everybody's eyes am a wh*re and nothing else. Roxy the pop star is gone... And he will never change that. You too could never change that fact." Queen Evilyn used her powers and teleported them to Roxy's room.
Roxy was now shaking uncontrollably.
"Sit dear." The queen helped her sit on the bed and hugged her. At that moment, Roxy felt a motherly love from her. One she never had. Or was it because she never ever received any motherly affection? Anyways, she liked it and she gradually calmed down.Her breathing steadied but tears kept flowing out of her eyes.
"I know we could have done something to stop him and help you, but we didn't. I am so sorry for that. We kept on watching you and did nothing and now, I am here asking for your help.I know it is selfish. If ever I could do something to change the past, trust me I will do it without thinking. And these are just not words I am throwing out like this Roxane.I am very sorry. We shouldn't have let that happen." She took a pause and stroked Roxy's back until she drifted off to sleep.
She laid her comfortably in her bed, and watch her face for a while with a saddened expression.
"Poor little girl." She said with a bitter smile. "I am sorry. She whispered then covered her with a blanket and left.
"How is she?" Eva asked worried as she materialized in front of her mother.
"She needs some time."
