Having confirmed his current situation our young dragon now had another problem. The view while pretty did absolutely nothing to help fill his belly. Thus he needed to find something to eat and judging from how loud his stomach is growling he needs it fast. His first thought was to fly down however that quickly vanished. Mostly due to the fact his wing were nowhere near big enough to carry him.
Thus bring him to plan B for brilliant climbing down. Since he had a pair of sharp claws why not use them. True it is dangerous but what in the world isn't at least a little dangerous. His decision made Clay immediately went to work climbing down the plateau. Two whole hours later and Clay was still climbing down. The entire time he never stopped cursing the sick bastard that did this. Fortunately the only one who would be his system support.
"By the way I was wondering who made the system and why you call me husband" , he questioned.
"Sadly I can not tell you because your clearance is too low. However I can say that the system creator is a very powerful person. As for why I call you husband it is because you are" she answered.
Listening to her tune Clay decided to end the conversation there. Afterall even some one as socially inept as him could tell she was getting annoyed. Feeling proud of his eq our hero continued on his journey. Another hour later he found a hole in the cliff face so he decided to take a break. The cave was just big enough for him to walk around comfortably. Internally he had to hand it to animals walking on all fours made it easier to fit places. Although it was not very tall the cave was actually quite deep. Clay could practically hear the ancient legacy waiting to be retrieved.
However he did not go looking because he is far smarter than that. Seeing as he was literally born today there is a long list of things that can kill him. Since he does no a way of escaping. Clay felt it is better to pass for today.
"Hey since you call me your husband what is your name" he asked.
"OH yeah I forgot to tell you since I was so excited earlier. My name is Eve" , she answered.
When he heard her name a strange sense of deja vu. It was as if something very important is just out of his reach. This only grew stronger the more he thought about it. Still it always reminded just out of reach. Finally getting frustrated he asked Eve about how he would get stronger from here. She then went on to explain how this is a world of cultivation. There exist two forms of energy to choose from. First is mana which is born when thought fuses with soul power. It allowed a person to shape the world around the use as he wished. Of course that is highly related to strength of one's mana.
The second came into being when will and lifeforce merged together and it is called aura. Different from mana aura actually interacts with nature to harmonize with it. The higher a person's aura level is the more one with nature they are. She also explained that depending on their heritage a dragon can either have a mana core or an aura core.
In Clay's case he was born with a mana core so obviously one or both of his parents were from the west. As for how to cultivate it is simply the process of storing energy in his core. It works that way for the first three stages as later she said not to worry about it now. Another benefit of being a dragon was that his cultivation grew stronger as he aged. Meaning he didn't even need to actively do anything.
Clay rested a while before deciding to head out. Just when he made it to the cave's entrance a whispering voice appeared in his ear. He immediately knew that something deeper in the cave is calling out to him. That caused Clay to hesitate slight since it clearly did not want to harm him. At least that is how it came across.
"Eve did you hear that whisper" Clay asked his wife.
"Yes my senses are normally linked to yours. As for whether or not if you should follow it my answer is yes" ,she replied.
Nodding he decided to put faith in his disembodied wife and at least take a look. Facing the cave's depths he took a deep and started walking. A few minutes passed by with nothing happening except the whispers getting louder. From it he could the sound of ancient chanting. For some reason he could understand the chant was a ritualistic one. It was not long he found himself standing in front of an absolutely gigantic castle.
The castle looked like every inch of it is craved out of precious stones. In front there were dragon statues made with gold and silver. Both had gems of different colors all over their bodies. Clay halted his steps to stare at the statues while a feeling grew in his heart. Following his instincts Clay roared toward the sky before lowering his head.
"Hahaha, good to see that there is still some brats with manners outside" a gruff voice laughed.
"Enough you senile old fool can't you see your scaring our first guest in years" a melodic voice put down.
After it was finished saying that the melodic voice asked Clay to raise his head. Receiving permission he felt it was okay. When he raised his head two ghost stood in front of him. They each look like one of the statues. The golden dragon looked like mighty and arrogant ruler that could face the world alone. Rather than saying he has scales it would be more fair to say he is covered in golden armor. His crimson eye only seem to add to his presence.
The other other silver dragon had a beautiful elegance that contrasted her golden counterpart. Her scales appeared to be smooth while delicate to the touch. She even had patches of what looked like fur on collar. A pair of icy blue eye gently watched of Clay.
"I believe introductions are necessary at the moment. It is nice to meet you young one I am the silver dragon queen. My name is Arian" the silver dragon greeted.
"Brat you are lucky because the one before you is the golden dragon king Ladon" he arrogantly added.
Feeling them waiting for his reply Clay spoke up, "hi my name is Clay and I was just born today so technically it is my birthday".
