Chereads / His Unkown Princess / Chapter 7 - Me? A human?

Chapter 7 - Me? A human?

I bit my lips hard. How would a vampire bleed the blood of a human?. Am I just a human? vampire blood is black. Its scent is not as sour and foul, nothing like human blood, and it repels other vampires.

I crouched slowly, not trying anything that might startle anyone. Being careful not to be eaten sure feels new to me. I wrapped my wound in my handkerchief, then smelled myself again. I smelled sweet, so sweet that if I move recklessly, I'm dead.

The blood coming from my wound sure smells sweet, and it surely affects them.

Mateo's eyes turned black, his pupils were very dilated, and he showed his fangs, later on, he then looked away from me and turned to the back of the group. Cassandra's breathing slowly becomes heavy. Chelsea's continuously swallowing her saliva, still looking at my knee, which as a matter of fact, is covered but is still reeking of this sweet stench of human blood. Alexandra's looking at my knee, and it looks like she's fighting over the temptation. Arman's like Mateo too, eyes black and head tilted.

They've all drunk human blood before, and not like me, they don't forbid themselves from drinking it. Given their current state, they're fighting the urge of drinking 'my' blood. I'm so nervous as I know that at this pace, I wouldn't even last a minute.

Remember the 'dying situation' I talked about earlier? I guess I called it.

Why would I even think of saying that? Maybe it's some kind of disguised warning or whatever, but me being a skeptic, I didn't put much thought into it… well here I am now.

A few more moments have passed and none dared to move. I dare not.

They're just looking at me, as I do look at them. Their fangs are out, like how I'd show mine if I am exposed to human blood. It's practically irresistible when human blood is practically standing in front of you, waiting for a taker.

I slowly breathed out and walked a bit gaining some nose and ear twitches from them. I sensed much more presence not far from where I was standing so I really need to move. I bit my lower lip and looked at the wound once again...

'your making everything difficult and so complicated for a very simple creature like me. Why would I have human blood if I have vampire senses and have been living as a vampire for the past five years? Why now, the most unfit time to have human blood in my system?. Why can't this happen during school? or at least at my freaking home!.'

The presence of some entity became clear, and they were moving fast. I hesitated on running as my cousins might go after me and got to the entrance before I even took my third step. I breathed for the millionth time but this time…

That entity tries to get close to me with blinding speed, I acted on instinct but these creatures, having superior abilities than a mere half-human, still gets to scratch my forearm.

To my surprise, Mateo stood in front of me holding that vampire in his neck. they're both showing their fangs and different colored eyes, Mateo's eyes were green, but the other vampire has a golden iris.

Alexandra has one on hold too, stopping it from reaching me from the sides. She's also on the brink of losing 'it' since her eyes have already changed colors, having purple as her iris's color.

Cassandra and Chelsea have a girl on the ground, hissing at it, stopping it from touching me from the back. Both their eyes are in the color of blue, more of an azure hue. Arman has one boy too, he's a bit far but I can still see how he holds him in both his hands from his back. His eyes had the same color as Meteo, grass green.

I only noticed the one from the front, but my cousins, though fighting the urge to drink my blood, saves me.

"Illiannah run!" Alexandra shouted with a deeper tonality. I didn't hesitate…

I followed her and run as fast as I can, not minding the stinging coming from scratch. I didn't even look back at them and just runs with all the speed I can. I reached the field and stopped at the middle, on top of that logo…

"oh no," I mustered, terrified at the sight around me.

The open field is filled with all the vampires that have gathered to study here at the camp… I'm dead.

I faced the gate and run with all my might. In my peripheral vision, I saw the vampires around me show their fangs when I run past them. I didn't even want to look back, even the thought of it scares me.

One guy zooms in front of me and hits me on my stomach using his knee. My momentum is great from the running, and the hit on my stomach stops that momentum, bringing it with much more force and impact on me. I stumbled down, as all my strength fades. I now lay on my back, having the worse pain at the worst possible time.

The guy appeared in front of me. I can't even move an inch, and here I am on the brink of death. One unfamiliar guy, showing his fangs at me like he finally caught his next meal, looks into my eyes, having a blank expression on his face. A typical behavior, the very likes of me.

I want to throw up, but I couldn't even hold my hurting stomach, as the only thing I could do is to hold my closing eyes open, I don't even know when do I do this, but seeing that it was the only thing I could do, I continuously held my eyes open. The air in my throat tightens as my consciousness fades from my brain. Darkness is slowly creeping from the sides of my vision and I slowly accepted my faith. With my last strength gone, my eyes closed…

"What does a mere human, might do to a place full of vampires?" The only thing I hear, with not much clarity before I black out.
