i wake up to the sound of my alarm clock and start to prepare for school
"I better visit grandpa today" I said as I sighed
I got to school and did some classes then ran off to the art club to finish a painting for the drama club as a prop. It was a portrait of the first president of the U.S.A
"Thanks, this is perfect for the play" said Rose the director of the drama club
"Anything to help out" I said
"Wow!, you're really good at art."
"Thanks, but art really isn't my passion."
"Too bad, I would've loved to see an original piece."
"Too bad...huh."
After giving Rose the portrait I ran as fast as I could all the way through the city of Brooklyn only to arrive at the hospital where my grandpa was being kept. I never knew my father or my mother but grandpa was the only one who took care of me and I loved him. Unfortunately, he has an awful disease and he's currently in a coma. I arrived at the hospital and ran up to the nurse.
"Huff,Huff, how is my grandpa doing?." I said while out of breathe
"Who exactly are you looking for?"
"Mr Robinson Hartley." I said
"His current condition is stable but we can't keep giving treatment if you don't pay your debt."
"That's great to hear and I'm trying my best to pay our debts."
I rushed off to grandpa's room and sat on the chair next to his bed and started to talk to him.
"Hey grandpa, how are you doing today."
I paused only to hear the 'beep' sound of the Holter monitor.
"Y'know gramps, I talked to a girl today, it was to give her a portrait she asked for but hey I still talked to her."
I took a deep breathe and started to feel tears roll down my cheeks.
"It's tough without you gramps, there's school and bills and so much more, I can't do it on my own... I miss you."
I wiped off my years and put a smile on my face .
"I'll keep doing my best to keep you safe."
As I was about to leave when I turned back and silently said...
"I'll do my best grandpa."
I ran out of the hospital to get to my babysitting job. I got onto the bus when I suddenly heard a loud noise and saw a flash of light.
Suddenly when I opened my eyes all I could see was black...
