Chapter 96: Drunken mistress
After Jeremy left, Defiance went into her room and locked the door. She just wanted to drift off to sleep because maybe tomorrow would be better but she couldn't.
She couldn't sleep and she cried a little in the bathroom.
She kept tossing on her soft bed that felt like a rock now and her heart felt like it was about to split into two.
Defiance went into Ethan's room and sat on his bed. Her brother was at his friend's house.
She has never felt so lonely. After twenty minutes she grabbed her coat and went out for a walk.
But somehow White oak that was usually bright and magical felt dull and lifeless.
She must have walked a while before she saw a couple of little children playing in the park. She watched them for a minute before their mothers came for them.
It was then she noticed the gloomy clouds. It was going to rain.
