Chapter 95: Why the hell not?
Defiance could feel her heart pound, she was so nervous she had to breathe out of her mouth to steady herself.
But this was her chance to come clean, this was her chance to tell him how she feels about him.
She stopped walking and she looked at him.
"Jeremy, wait!"
Her heart thundered in her chest.
Jeremy stopped and he looked at her. He looked wearily at her.
"I have something to tell you too and I think I should go first…."
Defiance stared at him intensively and she smiled for the first few seconds before she noticed that Jeremy wasn't returning that smile then she became apprehensive.
She played with her fingers nervously but she didn't glue her eyes to her feet like some silly love shy teenager. Instead she stared at him…she looked straight into his eyes and she saw it.
She saw his uneasiness and his reluctance and she knew instantly that it was bad news.
