Chapter 88: Diddy second kiss
Conrad waited for Diddy to dispute what he just said but she simply stared at him. She opened her mouth severally to talk but she only ended up closing it. It was like a punch to the gut for Conrad and he chuckled sadly.
"Okay then" Conrad murmured and walked away.
What was he supposed to say?
Was he supposed to tell her she just ripped his non-existent heart to shreds? Or that it stung that someone would choose Jeremy over him?
It was better that he walked away.
Defiance watched him go away and when she turned around, Jeremy was standing behind her with his hands in his pocket.
"What was that all about?" Jeremy asked her.
"I don't know. Can we just…ride a horse?" Defiance said with a fed up look.
"Sure. Come with me and I will teach you how to ride one" Jeremy grabbed her hand and led her to the stable where she came face to face with Eireth.
