Chapter 75: Between a rock and a hard place
Defiance stood in front of the full length mirror that was on top of an old non-functioning microwave. She was stark naked except for the yellow panties and bra. Beads of water dripped from her brown hair down to her shoulders. She didn't bother with them.
She pushed few rogue strands of hair behind her ears and wiped the beads of water that was about to enter her eyes. The other beads of water, Defiance, allowed to fall freely all over her body.
She tried to take in the features of Madeline Franklin, the girl that was staring back at her. She knew that now her necklace was with Eireth that she would have to get use to being Madeline. She would have to get used to having a strange face stare back at her in the mirror.
She ran her index finger on the scar just above her hair line. The scar was almost fading. Defiance blinked and looked away from the mirror.
