When Semeen got to the rental car outside, Judd was already sitting in it, looking lost in thought.
He had the streaks on his forehead, something she had only seen on the face of Sir Judd only twice.
First was the day he was ordered by his brother, King-Emperor Alexander to marry the Queen of Koi and the second was the night Defiance was born.
Semeen opened the car and sat down, Judd grunted and She didn't say a word to him.
She was comfortable letting him live in his head. It wasn't like she was in the mood for a conversation either.
Semeen tapped her fingers on the steering wheel and occasionally, she checked to see if Defiance was coming to the car.
Again, Sir Luther Judd grunted again. Semeen tried to ignore him until he grunted once again.
